The store is trashed. There is no staff. I literally saw mold on the ground by the fish tanks. The fish are clearly sick. I’ve never seen a worse Petco. Even the groomer was completely incompetent. Spare yourself and drive a little further to avoid this location. I am absolutely disgusted with this store. Maybe the worst I’ve ever seen.

They deserve 0 stars not 1 but clearly that was not an option! I put in to have my dog groomed 3 weeks in advance they come calling me the day before saying they couldn’t do it and the appointment shouldn’t have been made! Like WHAT? Mind you this isn’t my first incident with them! I came in with a schedule appointment to only be told oh we have too many pets we can’t do you today! Now a month has passed I retry and now I’m banned from making appointments because of cancellations that PETCO CANCELLED NOT ME! Called made a complaint to corporate NOTHING! This entire company is a joke!

The staff is unknowledgeable, handle fish with no care and then make you buy them after handling them with their bare hands, dropping the fish and still bagging it up. Additionally, the temporary store hours are terrible and is a disaster inside.

I left a bad review about MY EXPERIENCE about constantly being cancelled for appointments and these people call me on TODAY SKY IN GRANDVIEW MO to tell me they cancelled me AGAIN because I left a negative review! That is CRAZY how can you continue to cancel my appointments because of a review on HOW I FELT AS A CUSTOMER! Petco in Grandview is TRASH and very racists and i will be having legal actions taking moving forward!

This store is an absolute mess with no products on the shelves and a ton of pallets in the aisle. I was adopting a new dog and this store was on my way. I just wanted a leash and found that difficult as the aisle was bare. The cashier took 15 minutes to get to me when I was the only person in line. She was too concerned with something on the ipad to help checkout. I almost left due to the wait and being ignored.

The groomer was rude. I went to ask a question and she looked at me up and down. I got dog food and no one came to the register for 15 minutes. This is the most ghetto Petco, I’ve ever seen. Do not come here.

The store is only good for getting your dog food, other than that customer service is terrible. They do not help you, they tell you it’s not their “fault” and you have to reach out to someone else for help when ever your PETCO order is messed up. Last I checked, if my order that is from PETCO, and you work at PETCO, you can help.

Store doesn’t keep regular hours. Couldn’t pick up my pet from groomers because doors were locked at 2pm! Do not recommend coming here for anything.

Please update your store hours. It’s incredibly inconvenient not knowing when this store closes.After reading the “Short staffed, closed early” sign I walked back to my car to see a child in tears because the store closed before they got there. It appeared they were going to adopt an animal. I can’t imagine the parents are too happy either.

If I could do no stars I would we booked this in advance the day before we got a whole confirmation email about my dogs grooming appointment. We show up and they tell us that it’ll take several hours because one of their associates didn’t show up. My dog really needed his bath and haircut so we still decided even if it took longer we wanted him seen.two more hours only for them to call and let us know they won’t be able to see him because their most experienced person is out. They tell us to return Monday n they’d give us a discount. Which is not the point we had out of town family and a funeral totally unprofessional. I would’ve been more understanding if they’d given us a call to reschedule n not have us wait around for almost 5 hours

I enjoy their rewards program for dog food. Always have our kind of dog food in stock. The mealworm selection can be disappointing at times.
