3 dogs, 3 diff surgeries, 2 different days and all 3 had their sutures come out. Relative to their surgeries (which nine were serious) 2 healed fine w/out further intervention but 1 is still not healed and her original surgery(spay) was the Wednesday before Labor Day. I allowed them to re-suture her and after 2 weeks they removed sutures and 10 days later she has partially opened back up and we are now seeking treatment at a different vet! she's infected and still not healed. STAY AWAY!

Please save yourself the time, money, & heartache involved with going to Crane Veterinarian. I took my dog 3 months ago to Crane for a UTI, they suggested we do 4 days of IV/Fluids (they first suggested, overnight or “inpatient”.) I felt uneasy letting my dog stay overnight so I opted for the “outpatient” option where I could drop him off & pick him up later in the day (which I will admit, was nice) where my problems began is when I spent nearly two thousand dollars for the four days of IV/Fluids & medication for no resolution in my dogs UTI. Furthermore, any discoveries from test & exams were just told to you, they weren’t explained in an understanding manner. They would say things like “your dog should go on a prescription diet” without telling you the reasoning & importance & without actually writing me the prescription necessary to even buy the food. When they told me this initially, that was all they told me. A month after I came back a second time & spent nearly $1,000 again (foolishly) they told me it is imperative to keep my dog on this diet because he had crystals a month and a half ago (that was news to me) they let me spend nearly $500 in urinalysis, & never once recommended a urine culture test (this is a crucial test, that many other vets I’ve spoke to said this is the first approach they would of started with) instead, crane had me do 5-10 urinalysis over the span of a few months getting the same results every time. My new vet has also relentlessly questioned why crane would recommend IV/Fluids knowing that my dog has crystals because this can put the dog in a lot of pain & even make the issue worse/cause obstruction to his bladder lining. My very last time getting service from crane I unknowingly wasn’t able to pay the ramining $300 because my care credit said one number was available when only half of that registered, since then, crane has been unwilling to release nearly $4000 worth of PAID FOR medical records because of this $300 balance I do intend on paying them even though they hardly deserve it. Withholding medical records is illegal weather it were unpaid or paid $4000, just for perspective. The last thing they did that rubbed me the wrong way was they tried to sneakily get my consent to them keeping my dog, in their words exactly “as long as necessary” until I paid this $300 balance, them knowing this is illegal to try and put a lien on a PET, when I put my foot down they ultimately returned my pet to me because bullying me for my consent to something that is otherwise illegal, didn’t turn out for them. I really hope after reading this you decide to go literally *anywhere* else then Crane Veterinary, (Blue springs animal hospital, HIGHLY recommended, also Hidden Hills animal clinic in independence Missouri) you will spend less or equal amount of money with actual results. Like anywhere in the world, people, places, businesses, want their money, but what separates piss poor ran clinics like crane & anywhere else, is the service you get for the money you spend. Please don’t get caught up in their scheme. Also, “Bree” the “office manager” is quite incompetent, & under qualified. She’s the epitome of wasted education & will probably be on a corner somewhere soliciting herself in the near future before she does anything of importance with whatever licensing & requirements she somehow earned herself.

So I called to get shot records for my daughter to take my dog to a festival that requires proof. Somehow, Savanah knew my email address before I even told her my name. And then, almost before I finished my sentence requesting the records, she had already emailed them to me. It was borderline amazing! She's either super efficient at her job or psychic. In a world where I seem to have so much trouble even getting to talk to a customer service person, this was the best I have ever received.

There was ZERO compassion and care from the three vets who came into the room. They kept referring to her as a “him” even after I very clearly was calling her a she. They never petted her, talked to her, interacted with her, etc. was super rough with her while nail trimming. Weren’t happy people for sure. Never asked me a single thing about her well being or her behavior. Never asked me about prior serguries or issues. Before they even examined her, he lectured me for thirty minutes about what she needed done. 2 of which included making her stay there overnight and put her under anesthesia and 2 surgeries. Tried to sell me EVERYTHING under the moon. Told me she’s overweight and tried to make me buy their super expensive food. She’s a pit bull, it’s muscle not fat. She needed this, she needed that, including two surgeries and HADNT EVEN LOOKED AT HER YET or knew anything about her. It was red flags IMMEDIATELY. They were VERY judgy toward me that I wasn’t leaving her there. It was extremely overwhelming and I have been upset since. She was only there to get her yearly shots, and I do not recommend them at all.

Crain Veterinary has saved my cats life twice. Once two years ago for pyometra and just recently for a blockage in her intestine. They found the blockage on the first x ray unlike the first veterinary office(ani med blue springs) I took her too. They did the surgery the same day and took great care of her on a holiday weekend, they called me daily with updates. They have called every day since she has been home to check on her. I highly recommend them.

I love my dog and was nervous about prices and overall care of Ronin but they are very knowledgeable and reasonably priced. Took very good care of my guy and gave me a lot of information and took the time to explain things to me to help with him which I very much appreciated. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family no ?

I love this place. Only place I found open on a Saturday when our new kitten broke his toe.
Now it's the only place we go. Prices pretty good compared to other vets and all the people we dealt with so far have been incredible. Highly recommend trying them. Little max need hie toe fixed. ?

This place took care of my baby when she ate stuff she shouldn’t and no one else would take her in ASAP. Crain did. Thank you Crain!

Very popular place that maybe needs to upsize. Hard to find parking because so many next dogs go to this reputable vet.

They r snobby and rude. They r one of the most expensive vet office. I won’t be taking my animals there again with the way they treat us and our animals.

If i could leave zero stars I would. I took my dog in to get checked because it appeared he had a seizure. Once we got there the Dr. Asked me if he had trouble breathing, eating or lacked energy. The answer is No! He does not have any of those issues.
They took my dog back to get Xrays. Came back out and the Dr. Made up all kind of stuff that would have cost me over 3k.
I have no idea what they gave my dog when they took him back but , I know for a fact they had to have given him something because as soon as we got home. He would not eat, and had no energy. He began to decline in a matter of days, to point I had to have him put down. I felt like I had failed him terribly. If I could be a fly on the wall in this place I swear I'd probably uncover some terrible practices simply because they are money hungry establishment. It's not about your animal at all. My dog had a vet of his own but on this day, his vet was closed and Crane was open so that is how we ended up there. Big mistake!!! cost my dog his life. These people know you love your animal so they take advantage of that to get money out of you.....I HATE THIS PLACE, FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. NEVER LET THEM TAKE YOUR ANIMAL OUT OF YOUR SIGHT, IF U DO, U WILL REGRET IT!!!!
