“My daughter and I attended the Donny Osmond concert last night and she has a disability and is afraid of heights. I thought I had chosen good seats where all she would have to do is come in, go over 3 chairs and sit down but that was not the case. The ushers in our section went above and beyond to help us out and try to accommodate. I can't thank them enough.”
“Beautiful culinary center! Took a Carribean class on how to make sofrito. The chef was personable, friendly and did a nice job teaching about the different islands' cooking, plus we ate the rice and beans she made with the sofrito. Yummy! We all got to take home some of the sofrito, too! I'll be back for the pizza class in January!”

“Nice venue.My sister got married there on May 24th it was a beautiful service and she made a stunning bride.My brothers,my dad and I had an amazing time. I'll never forget that. My only complaint is that the lighting was minimal. Very dark in there.There were tealights in places.You couldn't take great pictures,unless you were there in midday. “Our experience at Union was an absolute dream from start to finish. There were so many things about this venue that put it head and shoulders above all the other options we looked at: the DTKC location (especially the proximity to the Kauffman Center); the aesthetic and layout of the space itself; the amazing rooftop views; the BYOB package; and most importantly, the 24-hour rental. We are a Latino American couple and knew we would want to keep celebrating deep into the night; Union was the only venue we looked at that would allow us to do that without worrying about getting people out of the venue/cleaning everything up—it was SO nice not to think about that on the wedding night, knowing we could come back to clean up the next morning.
Even better than all of that was the quality of service we received from the Union staff. Clay went above and beyond in putting together our beverage package, even doing his own mixology experiments to help us perfect one of our signature cocktails. Shannon stayed up with us the entire wedding night, taking care of everything until we left the venue at 3 am. But the realest of them all was Allison, our day-of coordinator. She was so friendly, helpful, and easy to work with; we could tell that she really cared about making our day special. On the wedding day, she made everything run so smoothly that my husband and I did not have to do anything but show up and get married! We could not have asked for better support throughout the entire process of planning this event, up to and including the wedding day itself.
One last thing I really liked about this venue is that they offer so many great additional services (e.g. photobooth, ceremony arch, etc.), but they never tried to upsell us on them. We always had the option of adding stuff on, but we never felt pressured to do so, which allowed us to create the event we wanted at the price point we were comfortable with. Ultimately, we felt like Union’s goal was to use their extensive resources and expertise to help us create the experience we wanted. And that’s exactly what we got! I wholeheartedly recommend this venue on every level. Get married here! You won’t regret it.”
“We booked 2016 Main for our wedding reception in October 2023 and can’t recommend this place enough for your event. The space is beautiful with a fun and unique atmosphere, meaning you don’t have to put a lot of effort into your own decor. Both the previous owner Pat and the new owner Nico were fantastic to work with. I felt they both truly went above and beyond during our wedding planning process to answer all of our questions and provide a lot of recommendations for us. And the actual day went perfectly thanks to Nico’s attentiveness and preparedness, reducing a lot of stress on our part. Thank you so much!!”

“We had a great experience using the Monarch Room for our wedding/reception venue. The owner, Megan, is very easy to work with and was helpful with our planning process. Shout out for being one of the only venues in downtown KC with the option to BYOB! There is a required charge to use the venue’s bartenders, but still well worth it. Venue is beautiful and was easy to decorate. Also she allowed us to bring our dog (best boy in our wedding party) so he could celebrate with us as well! Wedding was a great time!”

We of course had plenty of decor for the ceremony and reception, but we didn't need much since the venue was so beautiful! It truly was the perfect backdrop for our dream wedding, and we can't wait to see all the pictures of just how perfect the space looked. “We had an absolutely perfect ceremony at the Vow Exchange! They made everything so easy and carefree for us. We were coordinating an elopement ceremony from almost 200 miles away and convenience was really important to us. We were blown away with the service, care, attention to detail and true kindness from everyone! Communication ahead of the day was awesome - super clear and detailed. Our coordinator, Kristin, made us feel so welcome and special - like we were having coffee at the home of a dear friend. She made all our stress that day melt away. She took care of every single tiny detail - all the way down to ensuring our serving ware was clean and packed up before we left. We also adored the officiant and photographer. (Our photographer was such a pro! We looovvved her!!) Even our flowers were absolutely breathtaking! Everyone we met and worked with was absolutely perfect. We cannot recommend them all enough. “My aunt and uncles have been taking their kids to Miss Dianna's for 10+ years. I've been taking my daughter for 3 years, and I couldn't be happier. The rates are low, the building is nice and big, 4 dance floors I think. They teach hip hop, jazz, ballet and other types idk... I've seen grown up exercise classes, special needs therapy, and ones for toddlers. The teachers are all very nice. You see all shapes and sizes dancing, I think this school has a more 'open door' policy than others. My nieces and nephews are on the 'larger' side, but they still get to go to competitions. I've heard that some schools discriminate based on body type - which seems pretty messed up. It's also neat to see my daughter take direction from the teachers, she certainly listens to them better than me!”

“Came here on a blustery March day for a business meeting. One of the other party we were meeting with had made the arrangements, so I was only an attendee. The place was nice, comfortable and the staff that I briefly interacted with were both pleasant and professional. All the requests that I new of were promptly and politely taken care of. So, for a participant, I enjoyed it. Also, they had drinks and snacks which were all top notch. Finally, we had a catered lunch. It was a solid meal. Not great, but probably top notch for what I would expect a catered hotel meal to be like. If you are looking for fine dining, you're in the wrong category. For an event space, it hit the mark.”
