She cared for my “Cane” and helped me thru the hardest thing in my life of saying goodbye to my Best Fur Friend of 15 years. She is very knowledgeable and straight forward. She cares for all animals and is not against “pit bull” breeds of dogs. I would highly recommend Dr Arnsmeyer. She provides quality care!

My family has been taking our pets here for a number of years. They used to be fantastic. Lately, the service has gone downhill. The front desk staff is disorganized. The vet we've had seems like she doesn't even like to be around dogs, and is an awkward experience. The only good thing I have to say is the vet assistants have still been nice. When leaving my last appointment, I told the vet I didn't need flea and tick treatment, just heartworm. When I left I was given and charged for all of the above. My fault for not checking--but after waiting around to be checked out, I just wanted to leave. I returned the flea and tick product. Instead of crediting me $220, they CHARGED me another $220. Note: they did not TELL me this receptionist messed up. Had I not looked at my statement, I may have missed it. So now I have close to $800 of charges from the vet and waiting 3-5 days for my multiple refunds. There was absolutely zero concern about this, and was just told like that wasn't a big deal or something to apologize for. I was already planning on not returning to this vet, but this has definitely solidified it. I would not recommend this vet at all.

Save your time and energy and DO NOT COME HERE. They let people just tell you anything over the phone and when you get there, They look at you like they don't know why your there. I called them 2-3 weeks in advance to bring my dog in for a ultrasound. I provided them all of her AI dates and they gave me an appointment based on those dates. I get there today on 2/18 and they tell me they don't understand why there staff would have booked this appointment "it's too early". Well this extremely frustrated me considering we drove an hour to an appointment that they gave us. And then turn around and say it's too early and she will have to come back. Needless to say WONT BE BACK!

This clinic takes fantastic care of our our terriers, and they have needed a lot of care! Just yesterday we had a problematic whelp, we dashed to the clinic, they acted expeditiously, decisively and with great care. The dam and pups were kept safe as the pups were extracted. Dr. Vandas was phenomenal. Thank you Howdershell.

Dr. Arnsmeyer and the whole team have been wonderful to my fur family and myself. We have been going to Howdershell for 14 yrs and recently moved 30 min away and will continue to go there. Always helpful, knowledgeable and professional.

Gave a deposit for my dog appointment of $50 but the appointment was scheduled for February 24.My dog started getting worse so I call the Emergency hospital to get him in right away, Now today is February 14 so I called Howdershell animal clinic back to let them know I took my dog to emergency care giving them plenty time,to cancel my appointment.They told me my $50 dollars was non-refundable, I couldn't believe it.So before you book with Howdershell Animal Clinic know that it is non- refundable.What a shame and they have a 5 star review. Unbelievable.
