I recently had the pleasure of working with Pete as my mortgage broker, and I can't say enough good things about the experience. Absolutely outstanding services with St. Louis Mortgage Consultants!! I would 100% recommend to our friends and family because I am just THAT confident they would receive the best.
My husband and I have nothing but great things to say about our time working with Peter (Pete) Esson. The thought of buying a house wasn’t necessarily on our radar but life had different plans for us and suddenly we were house hunting.
If you have not bought a house before then you should know that in order to look at houses and serious about potentially putting an offer in, you will need a pre-approval letter. And there is where Pete comes in.
I contacted Pete, directly, and spoke to him about our current situation and he did not hesitate to jump in and work his magic. There was not one time I waited on a response from him. If it was an urgent matter, he was a phone call away. He urges you to contact him in several different ways; texting, call, or email. He does not send you to an office number where you leave a voicemail and hope he hears it within the next few hours… Every interaction is DIRECTLY from him and you will speak DIRECTLY to him.
I am no expert in banking jargon so when I tell you that I had questions, that is an understatment. Pete was excellent in breaking down materials to help me understand things better. If there was a time where I needed extra time from him to break down certain documents, he scheduled that out to give me all the time I needed for us to go through all my questions. There were times where our phone calls lasted about an hour and not one time did I feel like an inconvenience in his time. He was happy to help every single time.
There is an abundance of places for these things but if you don’t want to waste your time and get crap DONE, then just do yourself a favor and give Pete a call, tell him what’s going on and trust the process cause he has your back.
Pete is good at what he does and very educated. Ask him questions, because he knows the answer. If you have an inkling of concern, voice it.. he listens. He has been phenomenal working with the last 3 months! We cannot thank him enough.
Peter Esson at St. Louis Mortgage Consultants is my recommendation and I stand firm behind that!

I would highly recommend using STL Mortgage Consultants, especially as a first time home buyer. Not only was Pete extremely responsive for any questions that I had, he was able to find the right program that saved me a tons of money. The home buying process went smoothly and Pete kept me informed of any changes no matter how small. I never had any issues and would definitely use them in the future if I were to move.

We worked with Peter to purchase our first home. Peter was great to work with - he was always quick to return calls or emails, kept us informed throughout the entire process and made sure everything was in order for a smooth close. I would recommend working with Peter for anyone purchasing a home, but especially as a first time buyer. I cannot recommend these guys enough. I had a relatively unique situation when it came to getting a mortgage and without the expertise from Pete Esson, I do not think I would have been able to close on my house. The customer care was really fantastic. I could call at any time of day and they would pick up and answer any and all questions I had. Extremely professional.

We went to Pete Essen at St Louis Mortgage for a VA refinancing loan on our home. Pete was extremely professional throughout the whole process, keeping us informed every single step of the way. He always returned our calls very quickly, and provided all the necessary documents via email. He was extremely thorough and answered all of our questions completely and clearly; even if some of the questions seemed trivial to us, as the homeowners.
When we met with him to finalize the loan, he had everything ready for us. It was a very smooth process and we would certainly highly recommend St Louis Mortgage Consultants to anyone looking for a home mortgage!

I needed a lending expert, as I had an odd wrinkle to my deal, and also my ex wife and I were in a pickle going through an amicable but urgent divorce timeline, we both leaned on Pete hard to resolve our mutual house / loan challenges, and Pete came through for us amazingly. Highly recommended.
