This is the 3rd time I have attempted to get service. Each time I make an appointment only to hear 48 hours later they have not looked at the vehicle. This last time, 12/18 the truck was dropped off (1 day EARLY and they took the truck into the shop) - called 9am 12/20, was sent to voice mail - called again 1:15, again sent to voice mail - called 4:30, asked again to be put on hold, was told not the policy, even after I told the young lady I had already called twice and put into voice mail. This time, Chris did call back - told me no idea when the truck would be looked at. This is NOT 5-star customer service, nor is it an attempt to have the customer service be their #1 goal. Funny enough, when I picked up the truck today, they had 5 people standing in the service intake area for people (no one there) - took 3 minutes for someone to walk over. When he returned with my keys, he whispered something to the "rental lady" and then gave me the keys. Due to this service, I will no longer give any of my business to Jim Butler, nor will I refer anyone to them.

I've gotten my oil change here for years but will not be coming back. The cost went up to about $125 and while I understand that materials and labor has gone up, they've also started charging a new mandatory fee. They added an unnecessary additive to my oil and charged me $20 for it. I had even asked before I paid if that was only for an oil change since it was more than normal and was told "yes that's just the oil change." When I told them I was upset that they added something without my permission I was told that they would be charging me for it even if they didn't add it. I called 9 other businesses in the area including 3 other Chevy dealerships and not a single one said they would put an additive in without permission and they certainly wouldn't charge me if I didn't want one. Their prices were also all between $80 and $100. One mechanic even said it can cause buildup on the pistons and many said that it's definitely not necessary in newer cars that take synthetic oil. I was also told that it can be helpful if a car has been sitting unused for a while, otherwise it does nothing. I was treated like I was unreasonable for being upset since "we put it in our own vehicles." I was finally told a check would be mailed for the extra $20 charge, though I would've liked a full refund - we'll see if I actually receive it. I'm sure that this is some new deal they have just to rip their customers off and make more money. Beware before scheduling your next oil change here and most definitely ask about the additive beforehand.

Jim Butler’s service department is AWFUL! My wife & I purchased a 2021 GMC Acadia AT4 w/11,000 miles on it from Sunset Ford on 6-24-23. On 6-28-23 the engine would not shut off by pressing the push start or even removing the key fob from the vehicle. This happened in the late afternoon/early evening. As we drove we called Sunset Ford who advised us to take it to a GM dealer as they would have more vehicle specific diagnostic tools. Jim Butler was the only GM dealer that we could make it to before they closed. Because the vehicle would not shut off the issue was urgent. Upon arrival we were checked in by Wyatt, a service advisor. We let him know that the vehicle would not shut off. Wyatt noted this & said he would inform the tech so they could do what they had to do to get it shutdown. We inquired about a rental vehicle & were told by Wyatt that he could not be sure GMC would cover a rental until they had time to check out the vehicle. Sunset then supplied us w/a free loaner vehicle (2023 Ford Explorer). I spoke w/Wyatt on 7-3. Wyatt explained to me that the tech failed to disconnect the battery like he was supposed to, so the vehicle ran until it ran out of gas. Once the vehicle ran out of gas it killed the battery to the point that they were having trouble getting it to take a charge. I opened a case w/GMC on this issue on 7-8. On 7-13 Wyatt informed us that if we needed to take the Explorer loaner back to Sunset that GMC had approved covering the cost of a rental, & he could have an Acadia available for us on 7-14. We then returned the free loaner from Sunset because we had been told by Wyatt that the rental was covered. There was no mention that there would be any chance of us having to cover the costs or we would not have returned a nicer free vehicle for a less superior vehicle at our own cost. After replacing two high dollar parts (Body Control Module & Fuse Block) that were not bad & still not being able to determine the cause an engineer was finally dispatched. The engineer showed up on 8-2. In less than a couple hours time the GMC engineer was able to diagnosis the problem that Jim Butler’s service department said they spent over 20 hours trying to figure out. The cause was a wire from the previous owners dash cam (that was no longer in the vehicle) shorting on a bracket. A meeting then took place between Sunset Ford & Jim Butler which did not go well. Since the dash cam was aftermarket Jim Butler wanted to charge Sunset for all of the parts that were unnecessarily replaced as well as the exorbitant amount of time they claimed to have spent diagnosing & having us in a loaner vehicle. Sunset advised us that they caught Jim Butler in several lies during their meeting. Sunset refused to pay the bill & instructed Jim Butler to put the non-defective parts that they had replaced back on. On 8-3 we were told to return the Jim Butler rental by Sunset & they would again supply us w/a free loaner. This time it was a 2023 Ford Expedition. We did just that. Again, we never agreed to cover any rental fee associated w/a Jim Butler rental. We only agreed to take the rental from them once we were told by the service advisor, Wyatt, & then the rental agent that it would be covered by GMC. The only charges listed at the time of signing the rental contract under “charges” that we agreed to pay was $6 per gallon of gas if we brought it back w/less gas than it left with. On 8-8 Jim Butler, w/o authorization, charged our credit card $1020. We have since disputed the charge which is now pending. The Acadia had to be towed out of Jim Butler by Sunset Ford to be taken to a more reputable GMC dealer. Sunset has now officially terminated their working relationship w/Jim Butler over this. Sunset will no longer accept any vehicles from or send any customers to Jim Butler. I would not trust Jim Butler to diagnosis a flat tire at this point. We had to physically drive to Butler on multiple occasions to get an update since the service department would not return calls to myself or GMC customer care

I purchased a truck from them on July 10th , did not receive license plates till today sept 8th , had to drive on an expired temp tag for a couple weeks till i finally convinced them to give me another temp permit, I have called , text and also text on the customer service line , which was a horrible experience and the lady I was texting back and forth was very rude and not trained well in customer service. To say the least I purchased because of the deal but the deal was not worth the headache, I will find another dealer for my next purchase.

I took my car in for an oil leak. They replaced a part that was leaking. Less than two weeks later my friend said to me that my car leaked oil on her driveway. I said they were suppose to fix it. When I took it back they tried to say it was a bad part. I do not believe that. They put the part in wrong. While I was there I told them to check my airconditioner and heater. It was blowing hot and not strong. Kim put a thermostat to it and said it was fine and blew it off. Last week I took it back I was told I had to sign to cover $250 for a diagnosis until they can get it cleared with the warranty company to cover the diagnosis. Then I get a call that it's in the heater and that they might not find the parts for it. Would I cover 500 so they could dig deeper to see what was wrong till they cleared it with the warranty company to pay for it. Then today I'm told they have to do more work and it would be 1800 and not guaranteed that the parts they would get would work or they could even fix the heater but I would be obligated for $1800 whether they fixed it or not. This dealership is a total rip off. Another time I brought my car in to be worked on, and I found a cut in my leather on the side of the seat. It was on the driver side. They said it was the way it was wearing funny it wasn't there before I took it. I just had washed the car. This dealership does anything to get something out of you, but they don't want to put anything back or replace it if they damage it. I've gone them for 50 years and now I'm sick of it. I just now made a complaint to General Motors. The more complaints they get the better. Then corporate will come down on them. This is General Motors number. 800-462-8782. After this I will never go back if they make me pay for something they can not fix. Do not use any dealership of Jim Butler . After 50 years they do not back me up. I am DONE. You notice Brad does not respond to the people that have had problems at his dealerships. Only ones who give him five stars. Horrible public relations. When his father in law ran it it was a hood business. He just cares about the money. He married into it.

We have always been repeat customers. My daughter decided she wanted another vehicle. She is a full-time student; ONLY makes $11k. Has a 2023 loaded Jeep Compass Financed. What can she possibly qualify to buy??? Per bank $0. Unless Jim Butler alters her income where they need it for a sale of a $38,000 truck!! Yes- they did!!! She has $14,000 in just car payments per year now. Shame on you!!! Never purchase there again. They are worried about sale numbers, not what the customer can actually afford to pay for. Sad.

Its not what you do when deals go smooth, it is what you do when mistakes were made and just darn unethical behavior that sets you apart! If you look at the other JIM BUTLER dealerships (jimbutlerautogroup) google reviews you would see the condescending COMMENTS that MR BRAD SOWERS likes to respond with, when HIS dealerships especially JIMBUTLERKIA with NICK PASHOS the FELON CON ARTISTS HE EMPLOYS ALONG WITH COUNTLESS OTHER ONES IM SURE. MR SOWERS doesn't care about your family or how his employees can turn your family's life upside down by being snakes and con artists. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!! IT IS NOT WORTH IT!

Jim Butler might be the worst Chevy dealer I've ever interact with. Be sure of this they have no loyalty to you. I have bought 6 Chevys 4 from this dealership and prior to this was treated with fantastic service. I can only say that the new ownership whoever they are cares nothing for anything other than the bottom line. Take this review to Hart from a former diehard Chevy lover, if your choices are between Chevrolet and anything else, take anything else.

My service engine light came on a couple of weeks ago, so I took my car to my normal mechanic. He checked the service code and told me that my catalytic converter needed replacing. I contacted the service dept. and set up an appointment. When I took the car in, I met with my assigned service advisor, Bill Timmons. This guy is good. He eased my mind about the loaner car policy and got my car in for diagnostics and got me int a loaner as fast as possible , then found the part and got the car repaired quickly, at no cost. On top of everything else, there was no high pressure pitching for other services. Thanks to all involved. Especially Mr. Timmons.

Took my 2020 Trax 30,xxx mile car in for oil change, sludge removal, the did tire rotation, and sent me video of saying my tires, and 4 brakes were all in good shape! When I left, and was driving, I noticed a weird noise... took it back, because noise started ONLY after I left them! They looked at it and said THEY THINK ITS REAR HUBS!!! U THINK???? mind u, it's under warranty!! ,They told me, take hubs off, adjust and out back on ... I had it checked out by someone else, they told me it's my tires!!I bought my brand new car ,havnt had any issues with it until Jim Butler had it, and now I literally wanna trade it in..I can't stand the issues I've had with it, since Butler touched it, and wouldn't even help by looking at it, sent me away saying WE THINK ITS THE HUBS!!! DO THIS AND SEE IF THAT HELPS !!!!! THE NERVE!!!

After reading the other reviews I almost skipped my appointment at this dealership. I am glad that I chose to go, Rebecca did an amazing job and went above and beyond to help me with my issue. I made an appointment and showed up early and they quickly got me in any way, their automated alignment scanner was broken so they comped the lift to check it, and lastly she did not try to push unneeded services that I was planning to get any way. 11/10 for her and her team today. I will be back in the future.
