I'm really sorry for giving such a low score because it gets basically 5 stars across the board. But, the way chicks and pullets are caged is horrific. There's zero way I’d recommend buying chickens here. They take you to a dimly lit and smelly back room and chicks and pullets are kept in tall cages with drawer. The chickens rush to the front when you're looking at them. It was pathetic. I'm not a crazy PETA supporter or something. But Im all about treating animals in captivity humanely.

The prices are fantastic, the quality is also. I appreciate that the guys help you load and there are cute critters like kitties around to make it family friendly.

My boyfriend and I now have 4 full grown chickens and 4 chicks from this place after a year! We absolutely love FFM. They are friendly and full of knowledge, especially for first time animal owners.
They have good recommendations and they don’t sell chicks one at a time because that’s apparently a cruel thing to do which we appreciate. They also have certain times of the year where they don’t allow people to buy animals because they are high abandonment periods (like holidays).
They have the cheapest food, best bedding, fun treats for both cats and dogs and a great selection of birds overall. They are our go-to for our 9 birds and we highly recommend them to anyone venturing into expanding their animal family.

Super helpful staff. They had everything we needed to start our chicken habit. And told us everything we needed to know about it. Our girls are growing up just fine. Price can't be beat. It's definitely worth the drive from the city.

I called a few places looking for a muck cart. Nobody had them in stock. Finally called the Fenton Feed Mill. They had a muck cart! I will be calling them first from now on!

Great little historic place with excellent service. (Don't be put off by the parking situation, just go slow and try to park out of the way somewhere if you can, but don't worry about it.) Walk into the little store and they ask what they can do for you. Whatever you need, they know if they have it, where it is, and they go get it for you, put it right in your car if you want. Happy to answer questions. I love shopping here, there's never a problem. It's like stepping back in time. In a good way. And the drive along the Meramac River is lovely.
