Don't apply here if you have a felony (no matter how old) I was up front and honest about my history. They said it wouldnt be a problem and gave me a start date. Comes to the day to work, I called to confirm and that's when THE MANAGER had an hourly employee tell me 3 hours before my shift my background didn't go through. TRASH THIS IS WHY PEOPLE ALWAYS HIRING ? Some of us made mistakes but are willing to work. Your loss. 0/10 recommendationEDIT: Talked to management. Not professional at all. I called where they do background checks THEY NEVER DID ONE!!!!!!!!!! I was already honest with them about it. FAIL

Went in DG today for a few day food supplies. Waited on a check out person for 10 minutes and even yelled put three times if anyone works here today.Started to walk out of store when finally, the short dude with long ponytail like a girl came up to counter, and when I said "I waited so long I was about to go elsewhere, " when pony tail guy said, "next time you shop, go elsewhere".I left all my food there and will shop at Price Sopper from now on.

Once you realize where the door is and it's not the hardware store it's a good sized store with a good selection and good staff.

A little hard to find. It looks like you're going into the hardware store!Friendly & helpful staff. Unfortunately, just as with every Dollar General I've ever visited, it was a mess. Boxes and merchandise crowding almost every aisle.The Excelsior Springs location also was very run down, not dirty but the condition of the floors, walls & even the ceiling made it feel as tho it's not very clean!Again, I want to stress that the staff was great!
