If I could give negative stars I would.Horrible since it opened and not sure how it stayed in business (or how they are able to have bigger store at another location).Employees are rude and know nothing about their inventory- they ask if they can help but then wave their arms in the general direction of items they may or may not have.Latest and last encounter- I purchased an item prior to their going out of business sale- I walked in the door with a return and receipt. Someone who I assume was the manager was at the door, held up her hand, shook her head at me and loudly announced "No returns all sales are final! Read your receipt." I explained I purchased the item prior to the going out of business sale. She looked at the receipt and said "oh you did, our policy is no returns after 60 days" The day I went in was day 61- seriously? One day after 60 and I have the receipt AND they aren't "out of business" just moved to another location in Eureka. So glad the new location is next to a TRU Value hardware store with pleasant and capable employees and inventory to purchase.

The propane scale is off by 9.5lbs. On September 5th 2023 I bought two twenty pound propane refills. I noticed the manager had the scale set to 40 1/2 pounds then put my tank on there to fill. After he filled the first one till it weighed as much as the scale was set( 40 1/2 lbs) I picked it up and noticed that it felt quite a bit lighter than normal so I asked “is this twenty pounds of propane?” The manager replied yes. After the manager filled the second one I went home and weighed them both, they both were about ten pounds lighter than what Ace’s scale said it weighed So I tested my scale with something that was 40 lbs and my scale said it was 40lbs as well. I also bought a new scale and it also had shown that Ace’s scale was ten pounds off. I grabbed another empty tank and my camera, drove back up to Ace’s and video taped them ripping me off a third time, when I arrived at Ace’s a friend of my son was there also getting the same treatment as I did buying propane. The next day, the 6th, I went to weigh the first two I bought at a certified scale at scrap mart and it had shown that Ace’s scale was off by 9 1/2 lbs.September 8th Ace hardware I guess is refusing to to make this right. Too bad, this is going to be soooo easy to prove if this is a long term scam. I guess I got to go lawyer shopping. They never even offered to correct this and all they had to do was fill the tanks up but instead the manager quickly closed the propane bin and locked it then offered to rip me off less by making me only pay for 40 pounds instead of paying for 60 pounds so I received about 30 pounds but I paid for 40 pounds. The girl working the counter was great. New guy was meh. Manager was the cause and didn’t put much effort into making this right. Some other employee exacerbated the issue as well.

Absolutely the worst customer service that I have ever received. Very negative interactions. Unpleasant workers. Over priced. They were even worse through an E-mail interaction. Definitely advising other people in my industry to not bother wasting their time or spending their money here.

Carries items that the manager agrees with. Selective on stocking. Sad we will go to another store for what we need.

This location is a great location for us but if you need electrical or plumbing go somewhere else (they are often missing what you need). Or as I hear each time I try- you need to try the other store. Save the time and just try "the other store".

I like this new location on 5th street, as the store is very spacious. Store is clean and organized. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help. Prices are steep, but you’re paying for convenience and good service.

Nice store. Sucks that Ace won’t last. Prices are 30% higher than chain stores.

This was my first visit to this Ace hardware store, very friendly cashier greeted me at the door and directed me to the isle of what I was looking for, there I was greeted by a salesperson that assisted me with what I was looking for. Everyone in the store was helpful and friendly . I will definitely be shopping here in the future.

Everything is over priced. That's Ace everywhere. You can't find anyone to help at this one. And last time I went in, there was a very orange face girl with a bad spray tan sitting around on the benches at the front. She didn't even bother standing up to pretend like she was working. There are a few older people that work there that are helpful, but this girl doesn't do anything.
