My 80 year old mother took her curtains here on 7/13/24 and was charged $49.44 when dropping off. But when she came back on 7/18 to pick up, she was told she owed another $49.44 bc they didn't realize there were 2 panels instead of 1. My mother said that was your mistake, I would of never paid that price for this service, and Im not paying the additional money for your mistake (by then end of the conversation it did get heated on both sides). She grabbed her curtains and walked out. Now she is being taken to court for $49.44 and it was listed as 'she stole from them on the police report'. Remember that this is an almost 81 year old person who has her original paid receipt. It is shameful to put her through the anxiety of this entire experience and to go to court. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For an owner that has been in business as long as he claims, they should of called the customer to explain they made a mistake, and to ask whether or not my mother wanted to continue with the service. Instead, they blind-sided an elderly person, making it feel like a scam in her mind and now take her to court for $49.44 (is business that bad?). Can you imagine if you took your car in for service, given a price for the repairs, paid upfront, but when you returned it was double because they had looked up the wrong part pricing?? Also, does our court system really feel this is the best way to spend tax-payer $ for $49.44 when all of the accountability should fall on the owner to provide the service paid for (even cleaning only the 1 panel paid for would have been better than to assume it was ok to move forward with service without asking). Also, do you seriously think an elderly person should be responsible for double checking what she was quoted along with knowing to search a price board to check the worker??? Im sure Channel 2 and 4 news may take an interest in our experience/story.

I used to cheap out on dry cleaning till I realized how my clothes would come back faded and smaller. Ever since switching over to Westway I’ve noticed that my clothes look new and don’t reek of chemicals. It’s definitely worth the price to protect your clothes and extend their lifetime! Also their customer service is fantastic.

I've been going to this cleaners for 10 years with good results, until this week. The lady, who I haven't seen before, claimed that 6 of my 10 shirts needed dry cleaning at $6.00 each and was insistent. I was in a hurry so I dropped them off. I picked them up today and read the tags when I got home. All the tags said machine wash cold or warm. I will never go back to them. She either didn't know what she is doing or was going to fleece the guy that probably doesn't know better, Beware!
