“I was in town visiting a friend and we stopped in for a yoga class. Everyone was very welcoming and nice. I'm not very flexible but the yoga class was great and they even explained easier poses for those not as advanced. After class everyone chatted for a couple minutes but it seems like a great environment to workout in and would definitely come back.”

“For someone that has lived a fairly sedentary lifestyle this place can seem intimidating. I have also tried numerous workouts, dance videos, fitness influencers, etc and I have been able to be the most consistent with Burn. It's something about the community that helps hold you accountable but in a positive and sincere way. And it's not just for seasoned fit folks, they have modifications for every exercise and work with your individual strengths so you never feel like you can't do it. Trust me, I still struggle to get up in the morning to go but I just do it and before you know it we are tackling the finisher and I am feeling so good about myself.”

“I am a founding member (November 2018) at OTF Creve Coeur and have done over 1,000 workouts in that time. I love the continual challenge of the workouts themselves and the coaches are amazing, especially Erin, Katie, and Ryan who bring energy and also a level of personal interaction - they take the time to actually know you. I also love that OTF has added specific strength and tread classes, in addition to the 60 minute classes that hit both cardio and strength. And the front desk staff are caring and thoughtful!!This community is my home away from home?”

“I tried Burn for the first time earlier this year through a local STL Moms group during a special event they had - and that’s all it took to hook me! That first class was intense and so challenging in all the right ways. I quickly signed up for the promo they had going on and then after that the 12-month membership. I haven’t felt this good in years all because of Burn. Every class is different and challenging in its own way and my girls LOVE coming to class with me on Saturdays. The child watch is such an amazing perk of being a member! The trainers are incredible- they truly care about you and your health and wellness goals and push you in every class. And the general energy of the classes, even at 5:30 am, is awesome! Highly recommend Burn in Kirkwood to anyone who is looking to jumpstart their fitness - it’s a game changer!”

“I had been a member of Anytime Fitness for 10 years, starting in Tennessee then relocating to Missouri. Zach is a great manager!! He really exceeded my expectations with handling some miscommunication while I was transferring to the Sappington location. I never had any issues contacting him and if there were ever any questions, he always got back to me in a timely manner. This gym is clean, affordable, and reliable! It was never too crowded and I never felt like I had to "fight" for equipment. As a female who works out in the early morning or late hour of the night, I always felt safe. Due to relocation, I am no longer a member but if not for the move, I would gladly continue my membership at this location.”

“FINALLY - wanted to complete my 250 classes - 1 yr , before writing this review (Chesterfield location ) after Shredding 20 lbs (189 /190 lbs to 169lbs) with ONLY workouts.
Lifting weights is not New to me , what’s New to me is the Consistency !!!! I have never been this consistent to date . I would workout for 3-5 months max and if I don’t see much change on Scale , I would loose all motivation and stop it . Joined OTF after multiple posts from Insta Influencer. Never thought I would be able to pull myself completing 250 classes .

I had always loved HIIT workouts , adding Tread to the daily routine was life changing for me.
From barely walking to walking at 5.3 mph speed
From Never jogged to jogging at 6-6.6mph
From Never Running to Running at 8.3mph
From lifting 8-10lbs dumbbells to 20-25 lbs dumbbell (35lbs for few workouts)
From Struggling to do few speciality workouts to doing them with ease , all due to OTF workouts

Group workout at OTF really helped me so far . I used to look at fellow gym mates and keep them as motivation . Whether running at 7.3mph , walking at 5.3 mph , lifting heavy weights is from the motivation I got from fellow Gym mates .

“I can’t say enough good things about this gym. I’m relatively fit and for most of my adult life was self motivated to go to the gym and achieve my fitness goals. The pandemic definitely put a damper on that routine. I didn’t think I’d enjoy a structured workout class, but this has really exceeded my expectations. The staff really care about each and every client. They work with you based on any limitations or variations you need. The workouts are surprisingly well balanced to work on strength, cardio, and coordination. I’m also impressed by how well the workouts scale to accommodate all ages, fitness levels, and body types. “I felt that my review of Lift-STL would be incomplete without a little backstory. Prior to joining Lift, I spent months on end crying in the parking lot after every workout (at a different gym,) largely because I felt stuck and helpless with my fitness journey. I was temporarily paralyzed from a rather severe herniated disc and was discouraged from movements since I was 16 years old. It scarred me and made me afraid of working out, given that I often walked out of gyms with more injuries than strength.Fast forward, I met with Trent at Lift and began sharing my multitudes of concerns regarding training and expressed that I needed some reassurance. After a thorough evaluation, we set our training plans in motion and I have not looked back ever since. It has been 10 months since I joined Lift and I could not be happier and prouder. Here's my well-marinated thought and review of Lift-STL, broken down in 4 essential criteria (in 4C's!) for someone who might find this useful:1. Competence -- Every trainer at Lift is knowledgeable and extremely generous in offering insights. There is no short cuts to how they train their clients. They also practice what they preach. Trent makes informed decisions with my training menu and has always been very intentional in what he incorporates into my training menu. For someone who has had traumatic experience with movements, knowing the why and how is crucial to me.2. Community -- When I'm not there, they notice it. When I make progress, they make it known to me. It's nice when you not only feel seen but also celebrated as a member of the gym. It has truly become my second home away from home (I'm a STL transplant and have moved across countries and cities). Lift is honestly one of the biggest reasons why I do not want to relocate to another state. This gym is top notch and by far my favorite (I've been a member of probably 10 gyms).3. Cost-efficiency -- This has been a concern for me in the past when I was first introduced to Lift. Having had bad experiences with both high and low end gym membership costs, I wasn't sure if the service was worth the money. I WAS WRONG. This is by far the most I have gotten out of my investment; the facility and equipments simply make sense and are conducive to a serious training regimen, and I've been steadily making progress both in strength and muscle gain. In the long term, this has saved me money and time. HIGH YIELD.4. Culture -- Their passion for fitness and their love for the community is so, so evident across social media, daily engagements, and grander initiatives like the Transformation Challenge. It creates an echo chamber for individuals who strive to be better every day and having the resource to do so. They meet you where you are and take you where you want to go.Final thought: Don't you think it sucks to fail at what you love? That was me a year ago. I loved lifting but I couldn't grow further on my own. Lift-STL helped me become who I want to be by offering their resources, expertise, and support so that I'm no longer alone in my quest for excellence.Thank you <3”

“I found this gym on Google doing a search not even knowing what I wanted to find. I set up a first time meeting with the owner to assess where I was in my fitness goals. She assured me that even though I was absolutely a beginner at working out, they would help me get where I want to be. I’m now two months into it and they definitely delivered on that promise. I’ve learned so much so far. They have taken so much time to explain things and train me in a way I never feel stupid or insecure about. With absolutely no experience with CrossFit and completely out of shape, I’m already seeing results and feeling excited to learn more! “Brentwood Barbell is a great gym and truly a unique place to train. They are the perfect blend of personalized strength programming AND coaching…all in a community class setting. All the coaches I have worked with have been professional, personable, motivating and fun! I’ve trained at several different gyms over the years, and in my experience, BB’s coaching on form and attention to detail is next level! They have helped me improve my strength at an accelerated rate. After starting my training at BB, I experienced a reoccurring knee injury, and within 3 weeks they worked me through it. “I think I've been here enough times to give this place a review. I recently moved to the area and was looking for a new gym. I know there's a lifetime nearby too but it's so ridiculously overpriced and I don't use all the amenities to validate going there (having been a previous member). I love that wild horse is just a 6 minute drive from the house. It's usually the hardest part of going to workout - getting there, but it's so easy and there's always a parking spot open close to the door (since weather is in single digits!!) I'd say I go during odd hours since I have a hybrid work schedule. 11:30-2pm have 12+ people but it's never too crowded that I have to wait for a machine to be free (excluding today where everyone collectively decided to workout arms like me!) and 4-6p is when it gets a little busier, I bet due to people getting off work and wanting to get their workout in. Machines are clean as well as locker rooms. Towels are always available once you walk down to the floor or hit up the locker room to put your stuff away. There are cubbies where you can quickly stash your belongings as well. There are also jacket hooks in the locker room for colder seasons. The staff are all nice and friendly! The members are too! There's a wide array of machines for every muscle or variations of ones you've probably seen at other gyms. A ton of life fitness machines, free weights, cables, treadmills, ellipticals, stair masters, you name it, they've got it! Couples membership is around $130/month plus $100~ sign up fee Worth it to stay or get in the best shape of your life!”

“I used to be of the mindset that gym memberships were too expensive for something I could do on my own. Well, I’ve been an unlimited member at Shred415 for over a year now, attending classes a minimum of 3 times per week, with no intention of stopping! I still train on my own the rest of the week, but this is a great complement to my other workouts. I love the tread intervals and can really see and feel the impact of the strength workouts. The classes are really challenging, the instructors are fantastic, and the time flies by. This is a great place to get an amazing workout!!”

“I just started CrossFit for the first time in my life 2 months ago at the age of 53. I hadn't done any serious exercise except for Pickleball in 15 years. I'm usually the oldest one there, but I've never felt anything but welcomed and inspired by the young and younger members. I've tried all sorts of gyms and work outs. Nothing compares to CrossFit Maryland Heights. I've never seen results so quickly as I've seen with CrossFit. It has also significantly improved my confidence and my outlook on the future. I used to think about how to make my house accessible as I age because I was afraid I'd end up in a wheelchair like my Mom due to a sedentary lifestyle. Now, I know that I don't have to end up like that. I can be hiking, playing pickleball, volleyball, tennis, etc well into my 70s if I stick with it. I dog sit and prior to join CrossFit Maryland Heights, I had decided to stop taking on dogs over 50 lb as clients because I was afraid I was no longer strong enough to handle them. I no longer worry about that. And because of that, I've just gotten two new big dog clients that are an absolute joy that I would have missed out on. I know there's a ton of CrossFit gyms in St. Louis, but I'm so glad I found CrossFit Maryland Heights. Coach Chris is inspiring and knowledgeable. He also makes the atmosphere a lot of fun, and I feel like I truly belong to a great group of people. I'm on a tight budget so there's no way I would be paying for this unless it was significantly improving my life, which it is, so it's worth every penny.”
