My dad has only been at this assisted living place that specializes in memory care for a couple months, and we've been impressed with the care and attentiveness of the staff so far. They deal with a lot of challenges, but remain patient. So many of the staff members are really kind and positive. Communication is good. We feel he is safe here. He likes it. It's smaller, more intimate (about 50 rooms, front door is locked to protect from wandering) than the place he was at before. You can sign up for a lot of the in-house amenities and activities. My dad likes the food, they serve things like small sandwiches, soup, comfort food, desserts. They have a wide range of residents with varying personalities and we like saying hello to them when we visit. We're lucky we live in town and can visit dad almost daily.

I own a home care company in St. Louis and we have been working with The Grande for awhile now. The community is absolutely beautiful and clean, and the staff are always very friendly. Amanda and Veronica are both extrememly knowledgeable, and it is obvious that they take their work very seriously. The residents always seem happy and engaged while we are there and I recommend them to families often. They are a pleasure to work with.

My father was placed in this facility feb 2020 and we moved him October 2020 in middle of pandemic. We fell in love with the large rooms and the look of the facility. My father had a camera in his room to ease our worries of him not being with us. My father had needs beyond what level the facility is(assisted living). He was an insulin dependent diabetic and often missed meals because staff did not have skills dealing with how to get him to cooperate to get out of bed. He was also dealing with grief and moving from his home when his wife passed . One worker had to be removed off his care due to antagonism she created in him and he could be heard crying out from hot shower by her. He would go 5 days without depends or clothing changed and sometimes went 2 weeks without a shower. He was not capable of doing those things on his own.The facility stated they could meet his needs but did not. Its an assisted living facility so state only holds them to task for what an assisted living has to do but youre paying for memory care type service not being done as only assisted living type care was being given. At Night time they had one person on duty per floor. The final straw was when my father was carried back to his room at 4am by 3 staff members (he was mobile on his own before this). They put him to bed, told no staff and didnt get him up for breakfast that morning so it was not until noon they realized something was wrong. My father had sepsis and couldnt walk from a UTI. He had scrapes and other marks on his body when he went to the er that indicated hed fallen but no report of falls to family. Emails were sent on numerous occassions to staff about changing him and having him drink water as he wont drink it except at meals or if prompted to. He never was back to his normal before that hospitalization. Just because a building looks great does not mean the care inside is. I researched 12 facilities and did 50 question check etc and visited multiple times before moving dad there. And still despite diligence on familys part, and despite the facilities looks, he ended up not getting the care he deserved and needed.

My grandparents room is disgusting. They "forget" to feed them, bathe them and forgot to give my grandma her meds for a month. I came in today to find my grandpa in this shirt. It was stiff on that front panel.

This memory care facility is phenomenal. The staff took care of my mother like she was family. They treated her with care, kindness, and affection. They went above and beyond in regards to caring for my mother and finding creative ways to bring her comfort and calm her fears and anxiety. I can not imagine any other facility doing such an amazing job. They are 10 star in my book and I thank the Sheridan’s Executive Director for all her help and support.

My mother was at the Sheridan Creve Coeur and the support we received was amazing. My mother has been in a couple homes and this was by far the best! They really care and do whatever is necessary to ensure that the resident is happy but also they spend as much time as necessary with the family.

Our mother has been a resident of the Sheridon for just over a year. The staff has been taking care of her during this stressful time of Lock in due to Covid 19,. We are very grateful to have the lovely Alexandria watching over mom. She has been our liaison, helping set up Face Times letting us know if she needs anything. We are so happy for her attention and care she give our mother. The staff has always been kind.

They truly care about their residence. The facility is always clean and spotless and they try to engage the residence as much as they can in activities.
