Quite pleased with the service overall, but there was one issue. I was told to expect my car to be ready for pickup early in the week of November 11. After that, I got a call that the repair was less extensive than first believed, but that it would only shave off one day from the wait time. I rearranged many meetings in my work schedule and my wife took time off of her job so I could drive her car. Then the very next day, I received a call that my car was ready for pickup. Again, grateful for the quick turnaround... but the estimated repair time upended many aspects of my life only to find that it wasn't necessary.

Good and bad news
Good - car repaired as promised, cheaper than dealer, plays “nice” with insurance company, and nice people
Not so good - long time to repair car and car came back with engine light one (not given to them with light on) they say it is not crash related and need to go to dealer to have them say it was crash related then we can fight with j strange to cover (yeah - I’m sure I’ll have success with that approach) - very disappointing

As a woman, I was nervous to take my car to a repair shop. Eric was quick to diagnose the problem, treated me kindly with the upmost respect and gave me a good priced repair! Take your car here, Schaefer is now my go to!!

Dion was very communicative in every stage of the progess on repairing my car. Schaefer's doesn't typically work on non-accident related repairs, but they made an exception for me, since they knew I was having trouble finding a repair shop that would look into my suspension issues. Dion made sure to give me a lower labor rate, so that it would work with my budget, and was clear in giving an estimate earlier on. Even though he had to sacrifice some profits from the company, he made sure to get my car up to shape--and had checked in to make sure that everything was working a few weeks after. Best experience I've had in a long time with an auto repair shop.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Schaefer Auto Body after my Tesla sustained a cracked front bumper, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with their service. From the start, the team was professional, efficient, and communicated effectively throughout the entire process.
The quality of the repair work was outstanding—my Tesla looks as good as new. I was particularly impressed with Ashleigh, who kept me well-informed about the progress and ensured that I understood what was being done to my vehicle at every stage. Her communication made the whole experience stress-free and seamless.
While I hope I won’t need auto body repairs in the future, I would not hesitate to return to Schaefer Auto Body if the need arises. Their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction truly sets them apart. Thank you again to the team for the excellent work!

I'm a bit late writing this review. My car was involved in an accident in January of this year and I was recommended to go to Schaefer as they are one of the few Tesla certified body shops in the area. I reach out to them and it took them about a month to fit me in for a quote. Kind of understandable due to the fact we had just had an ice storm. After the quote, I was told to make another appointment to drop the car off for repair which was around mid-March (don't remember the exact date). After I dropped the car off, it took 3 weeks for the repairs to be deemed complete and it was delivered back to me. After I brought the car home, I noticed the interior was filthy and dusty from the sanding, the rear door of the car was put on crooked, there was a very visible paint drip line that ran the entirety of the rocker panel that was repainted, and the driver seat control panel was somehow damaged in the process (which I had to take to Tesla to repair for $100). After I noticed all of this, I reached out to my service advisor via email with pictures.
The advisor apologized and said his service team would get the car back in the shop to fix. He told me a day to bring the car back, and I did, but when I got there, he had forgotten about my appointment and did not have a rental car lined up for me for the repair time. After I dropped the car off, there was no correspondence between the body shop and I. I reached out to the service advisor multiple times with no response. I stopped by the shop one day and asked what the status was. They said they were waiting on parts. This was a follow up to the repair they did initially and there should not have been many parts they were waiting on. I was given no timeframe of when to expect the car back. After 5 weeks of my car being the shop for a second time with little to no updates, I searched online for some sort of management. I found the contact info of the branch manager and reached out to him via email.
The next day I received a call from a member of the corporate team (unfortunately I cannot remember his name or title), and he apologized for everything and ensured me the work would be getting started the next day. He was very nice and professional about everything. I asked him why it was taking so long and he was honest and told me the car got put on the back burner and the team had put other cars ahead of mine. The car was completed within just a couple of days.
When I picked up the car, the corporate guy met me and apologized for everything and went over the car just to make sure everything was fixed correctly this time. The car was repaired and finally back to me in early June.
TLDR: Schaefer did poor work when fixing my car leading me to have to bring the car back to them. They kept my car for a total of 8 weeks with little to no communication from the shop. It took contacting management/corporate to get my vehicle back from the shop.

My car needed to be fixed and I chose to go to Schaefer Auto Body because of a recommendation from a friend. It was amazing! The estimate was quick, the tear down was timely, and I got my car back very quickly. The manager answered all my questions and Kinady and Amy in front were very kind, respectful, and helpful. Will use this place for all my future car needs.

Wouldn’t trust anywhere else in the area with my Tesla repairs. They do impeccable work and you can tell they care and take the time to do everything correctly which is very much appreciated. I’ve used them twice now for major body damage on my Tesla and I’ve gotten it back looking brand new and driving knowing it was done correctly and professionally is great peace of mind. Staff is really great. Shout outs to Dion, Zach, and Ashley. Thank you all

It is impossible to get anyone on the phone here. If you want to be in the loop on what is going on with your vehicle, I wouldn’t suggest this company. They have been holding us up on a car insurance claim for a couple months, and this is why they are getting 1 star from me.

I never wrote reviews. But I am so disappointed with this place. They never answer calls, it is impossible to reach them. I was lucky to get an appointment when I called a month ago and a lady did answer the call which was the only time that my call was answered within a month. I found this place online and listed as Tesla certified repair shop. My call was answered and the receptionist doesn't sound professional at all. She just wanted to schedule an appointment without asking any questions. Anyway, After the estimate, it took me a week of keeping calling and finally got an email of the estimate. I replied and asked to go ahead order the part and let me know when I can drop off my car for the repair. Multiple emails were sent and I also left multiple voice mails, almost a month passed, no response, nobody ever answered calls. I was just curious to see if they really are still in business, so I stopped by when I was in the neighborhood. The guy named Troy Germann who did the estimate said he did order the part and will call me the next day after contact the supply to see how soon it can be delivered. I already knew that he won't call. I really don't understand why they are so lack of communication and not even answering their phone. What kind of customer service is it? Why bother to list their business online? Why don't they just honestly tell customers that they are too busy and have no time for them. It is absolutely the worst service or just bad management. Time is everything. They wasted me almost a month and made me driving a car with a broken mirror. I wish they told me they don't have time to repair my car, and I would have moved on and found another shop.
