i was having a hard time understand my receipt, so i called the store to try and get an explanation as to why my bill was $300. when i looked at the receipt, i was on the phone with maxwell and mentioned something out loud to myself, questioning myself about the miles i put on the vehicle. maxwell immediately said “you are being stupid so i am going to hang up now.” then hangs the phone up on me. i tried to call the store back and my call would be answered and then immediately hung up. i eventually called the customer service number and was able to speak to somebody who was able to explain the receipt to me where i understood it.not to mention that the truck seemed to have something wrong mechanically. when the truck was driven the stirring wheel would barley move and would steer to the right when the wheel is being held straight. it also had an awful burning smell when the vehicle was idling.

Check out and in was fast. Truck was ready and worked as expected. People were helpful. Price was resonable.

Would give ZERO stars if possible. Rented 4 UBoxes for 3 Br townhome. Did not bring couch, loveseat, desks, or rolling kitchen island and still couldn’t fit everything.Was delivered a ubox with NO ramp that contained 217 furniture pads bc it’s the one they use to store extra pads at the warehouse. Those pads took up about half the space in a pod. Then the “customer service” kept arguing with me that there are only 24 pads per box. We counted and sent pics but I guess they just cannot believe a customer. They transferred me to 3 different people and they said they would pick them up. But they didn’t.They didn’t park the pods where we asked even though I sent 3 photos of where to park them. Instead leaving one with the ramp leading into an open sewer and the other in the street. Again, I sent pics and they were like “oh well.”They did not honor the contract I agreed to regarding delivery and pickup dates. Instead they just changed the delivery date and didn’t ask or notify me.Then they said they picked up our boxes at our move out location and stored them in the U-Haul storage center. But I just went by the old place and they took one trailer but left the other in the street.The manager is unreachable, unresponsive and unbothered. No one in the building knows anything and are no help. They refer me to 1-877-GOUHAUL and those people gave me a disconnected number to call. When I called back they gave me another number to the people who told me to call the 1-877 number in the first place!!I will be shocked if I actually receive my items at my new house. This is the absolute worst possible moving experience and U-HAUL has ZERO customer support. Pay more to another company, U-Haul isn’t worth it.

Octavius was outstanding in providing another truck when our reservation couldn’t be found. We moved on the worst weekend in Columbia possible - when all the students came back. So this was close to an impossible task. Toi was super helpful when we returned the truck finding information we needed. And Denesha was professional and efficient in resolving a misc fuel charge. Wonderful customer service. Above-and-beyond consideration and kindness. Definitely doing business here again!!

Easy well marked turn in. Got 1/4 tank of gas to take the truck, were told we would be credited for any gas we didn't use after we filled up and drove and returned the truck. Returned with about 2/3 to 3/4 tank and have not heard anything from anyone about money credited back to us.

The two people working here today were not in the office instead they were smoking weed in what I can only assume was a friend of there's car, taking turns getting in and out. The car smells heavily like weed for 5-10 feet away. I also tried to return some lost U-Hual equipment and one of thes weed smoking guys TOI (pronounced TOY) was very disrespectful and knew nothing about the reward for the return of the equipment, told me to come back tomorrow to maybe get my reward. So I called corporate and was informed that they at the U-Haul center is supposed to Dole out the reward. And they asked me who told me to come back tomorrow for maybe a reward and then I asked the gentleman what his name was and he got really short and disrespectful with me asking me why the hell I keep asking for his information! So disrespectful!

My truck broke down and the manager at uhaul said it was not their responsibility to return the truck in working order or would be arrested for failure to return rental property. As a result I had to pay put of pocket and was charged for bringing it back late. Very dissatisfied.

The customer experience was terrible. I felt like I was impositioning the staff for even being there. The price was not in alignment with what I booked online (I had to point out the error). After it was all worked out, the trailer they assigned to me wasn't in the lot. I walked in and canceled. Clerk offered no apology other than saying "yeah it's canceled." Rent from a local retailer if you can and avoid this location.

We had a reservation my stepdad made us and paid online for a truck rental mobile pickup at 6am. We were on a tight schedule and arrived at 5:50 to discover they did not prepare our truck the night before and we had to wait for the store to open at 7am. Threw off our entire schedule. They said they didn’t have payment as well. Customer service was not great and there was ripped up boxes in the truck.

I reserved a trailer online and had a friend use his truck to pick it up for me. When he picked up the trailer, they charged him from an extra day on the rental without saying anything (he was allowed to pick it up early is my guess for the extra charge). On top of this, they also charged for the $24 coverage when I selected the $12 coverage during the reservation process. My friend who picked up the trailer said that he was told the reason for the price difference between the 42$ I was quoted online and the 91$ he paid "was because the online quote doesn't include tax". This is obviously very shady business practice and these changes to the rental should have been made explicitly clear before making them or they should have been made at no extra charge.

My wife rented a trailer here. The uhaul attendant installed the trailer but did not tighten the hitch to the ball. And the trailer hitch detached from the truck while my wife was on the freeway with the trailer. A frightening experience. No discounts or free rental could compensate for that quality/safety mistake. A terrible experience.

This is NOT where you want to rent or return a UHaul from, you would be better off to use a "neighborhood dealer". Everyone that works there acts as if you are doing them a favor by going there and do not have a customer service attitude.On May 31st 2023 I rented a trailer (Reservation # 87799288) from a neighborhood dealer in Dewey/Humbolt AZ and I returned it to the Columbia Missouri UHaul store at 10:30 AM on June 1st. When I returned it, I was told by a mechanic to just "drop it with the other trailers and the Manager would be out to talk to me".After I parked the trailer and disconnected it (and WHY should the customer have to do UHaul's job of disconnecting the trailer?) I waited for 10 minutes and the manager NEVER SHOWED UP. After tracking the manager down inside the store, I told him I was returning a trailer, told him the issues I had with the trailer (loss of brake lights and turn signals) and he REFUSED to provide a receipt when asked to show I returned the trailer. NO ONE told me that I could use the UHaul app to return the trailer.I called UHaul customer support as soon as I got home and received a call back from a field manager Sunday night. He told me that I should not have had to disconnect the trailer myself, that UHaul corporate policy says the manager should have provided a receipt when I asked for it and he would talk to the Traffic Department and straighten out the issue. And this is not an isolated incident, this is the THIRD time in seven years when returning a trailer to UHaul Columbia I was not given a receipt upon request and it is the first time I had to disconnect the trailer myself.

Wait at pickup was about 45 minutes.Truck was not fully fueled.There was a dolly just laying in the back of the truck that I didn't ask for nor did I use.Truck was not clean - lose dust and dirt.Gas cap was off the fuel tank and fuel spilled out of the tank despite being half full when I turned the corner.Parking lot was extremely tight to get out of with all the vehicles sitting around in the way.I've rented uhauls many times in the past, policy was always to return the vehicle full of fuel. I returned it full even though it was half full when I rented it. They would not even give me partial credit for the extra $100 in fuel I put in the vehicle. I went under 12 miles with the truck. They said they would get back to me and they never did.I sent a message to the main headquarters and got no response.Extremely disappointed with this experience.
