Nice hotel, good location and staff were friendly. Only downside was the TV not working. There is a parking garage across the street in case you don’t want to pay for valet parking.

Room was wonderful, location was the best, but the service was the real reason you stay here. Specifically Maddie and Adrya were incredibly helpful, providing multiple recommendations and suggestions for our trip. Wonderful service.

What a great hotel. Historic building with modern renovations. Great location and a great staff, especially the valet that went out of his way to accommodate my larger truck. Looking forward to my next stay at The Tiger!
Rooms: I loved the powered drapes.
Nearby activities: In the middle of everything and a short walk to campus.
Food and drinks: 3 attached bars/restaurants

Charming boutique hotel. Vintage charm with modern finishes and conveniences. We stayed 3 nights - two adults, two kids. On site restaurant (Glen’s Cafe) was quite good. Great location, you can walk to all the bars, restaurants and shops in Columbia.

I arrived yesterday on an overnight trip to start moving my child back from Mizzou due to the semester coming to an end. A couple of weeks prior, I had stayed at a competitor hotel and was massively dissapointed which is what led me to choose this one.
Upon arrival to my room, I was disappointed to see it was by the elevator and I must admit, the view was not the greatest having roofs, store dumpsters to look at, a cemetary and other various businesses.
That said, the room was quiet, spacious and the layout of the room was everything I could ask for. The bed faces the TV, which was mounted to the wall between the windows and the windows themeselves. Obviously, laying down, you do not see the street below so it was easy to overlook that part.
Every part of the room was clean from the bedroom area to the restroom area. Cleaning staff are definitely on their game at this hotel. BTW, the tub is massive so it was nice that it was clean as opposed to their competitor where I'd previously stayed that offered a jet tub bath that the nozzles were so nasty, I'd never step foot in it and their showers were horrible as well. Surprising as it also is an upscale hotel with a relatively small price difference so you'd have expected to have the same amount of cleanliness there, but no. The Tiger Hotel is a gem.
The location to everything is amazing. There is a fee to park, however, it's small in comparison to other hotels and considered a vallet fee.
Every staff interaction was professional and they were all very friendly.
I have stayed in many hotels between here, Boston and London, The Tiger Hotel was by far the best. My child has 2 more years at Mizzou and I know where I'll be staying from here on out when I visit him.

From the moment I stepped foot into The Tiger Hotel, I was greeted with warmth and exceptional hospitality. The staff's dedication to customer service is truly remarkable. Every interaction, from check-in to check-out, was met with genuine smiles and eagerness to assist.
One standout experience was my visit to Glenn's Cafe, where I had the pleasure of being served by Allie, the talented bartender. Not only did Allie craft the most exquisite cocktails with precision and flair, but her friendly demeanor and passion for mixology elevated the entire experience. She effortlessly created a welcoming atmosphere, making me feel like a valued guest.
The attention to detail throughout the hotel is evident, from the elegant decor to the impeccable cleanliness of the rooms. The amenities provided exceeded my expectations, ensuring a comfortable and luxurious stay.
Overall, my time at The Tiger Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable stay in Columbia, Missouri!

This is a beautiful hotel in a lovely location.
The are obviously short staffed - I get it, no qualms from me. Everyone is, and as someone who has had many jobs in the service industry I would NEVER hold that against them.
So when my room wasn't ready until about half an hour after they said it would be, it was fine. And when the lady at the counter didn't know how to check someone into a room and I had to wait for the desk manager to get back from valet, again - totally fine. Didn't have a lot of luggage, didn't mind waiting awhile.
We were told our room would have a patio, and were even given a key, but it turns out our room in fact did NOT have a patio and we had been given the key for the room underneath us - we could see it from our window. Again, not a huge deal. The room was clean and comfortable.
The elevator is a bit scary - it's the size of a small closet and there's about a 12 second (I'm not kidding) delay while you debate whether or not you're about to be stuck before the door opens.
The food on site is VERY expensive and VERY poorly prepped - the steak salad I ordered was laughably bad, and was one of very few gluten free options available on site.
What really was the cherry on top, though, was the bill. Not only are you paying taxes that weren't explicitly stated as part of the bill when you initially book (state and city occupancy), you are ALSO paying a "destination fee", and an "employee healthcare fee"! As in, the customers are paying for the employees healthcare? Huh??
I'll be back to the area, but The Tiger will likely not be on my list of possible places to stay.

Rooms: While the hotel itself is almost a hundred years old, established in 1928, the rooms are as modern as you’d need. The king sized bed was firm but comfortable. The bathtub alone deserves its own review! However, be aware that shorter folks or those with limited mobility would have problems stepping in and out of the tub. Absolutely no complaints.
Safety: We never felt unsafe during our stay there including walking around the neighborhood in the afternoon and evening.
Walkability: The Tiger is smack dab in the center of a vibrant arts & crafts and eclectic shopping area. Bookstores, restaurants, gift shops, arts stores, and many other places are tucked in within just a few blocks.
Food and drinks: The attached restaurant, Glenn’s, was a nice, quiet, and relatively affordable dinning option. However, there are probably about a dozen options all within a couple of blocks walking distance from the hotel.
Noteworthy details: The staff was 100% attentive to our needs including an emergency early (8:30 am) check-in. Ericka at the front desk was so helpful with our needs and knows the area well enough to make several suggestions for coffee, shopping, eating, etc.

Very solid downtown place to stay. Close to all the good downtown spots and good food. Liked how quiet the hotel was. Food was okay, valet was slower than usual, but the vault in the basement was a highlight for sure. Will be back

The food in Twain tap room is terrible. Ever since the head chef has left everything has changed in a bad way. I would not recommend this place for the food. It does have a good atmosphere but that's about all it has to offer. If you do decide to get a drink I would say go to the vault cuz it's the only place where you will find good customer service with Shannon the bartender.

Wonderful Hotel! The room was beautiful with a great view. It's right in the middle of downtown, so everything was very walkable. The bathroom was AMAZING! The three bars on site were great!! The lobby is beautiful. I snuck a look at the ballroom and it was also beautiful, on the smaller size... But great for a modest reception!Rooms: Fantastic rooms and bathrooms!Safety: I felt extremely safe in the hotel and walking around downtown.Walkability: We didn't even take our car out! Downtown is extremely walkable!!Food & drinks: Delicious bars on site! Great restaurants in walking distance. We did not try the on-site cafe, but it has great reviews.
