I booked this last minute due to a family emergency. After spending all day at the hospital our plan was to go relax have a cocktail and grab something to eat at the hotel bar . Both Friday and Saturday night. We arrived at the hotel around 8 pm on Friday to find out that the Bar was closed for a private party. Saturday after we lost my father we arrived around 7:30pm and same thing the bar was closed for a private party. No signs or notices ahead of time . This place has event spaces why wouldn’t you have booked the event space with a bartender?I have stayed at other Stoney Creek locations and have never had this happen.Food & drinks: Non available

By far one of the best hotels, I have stayed at! I love the cabin vibe, the great breakfast and the warm and friendly staff. What I appreciated most was that they were dog friendly. They have plenty of grass behind the hotel for your dog to go potty! I wish these hotels were in other states. As I continue to work in Missouri, I will look for these hotels to stay at. Oh and other bonuses, they have a pantry and fridge with beer and wine so no need to leave the hotel, I believe they have a bar but I didn’t visit and they have bath and body works soap, shampoo and conditioner.Food & drinks: They have a bar, pantry and fridge with both alcohol and non alcohol beverages

NOT CLEAN! POORLY MAINTAINED!The room floors were not clean and were covered with hair and dirt. The hot tub jets did not work and water was so overly chlorinated that my skin and sinuses were burning. We could not stay in the hot tub.The location is great for a football game.Rooms: Dirty and not well maintained.

I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. Hairs in the shower, sink, and counter did not look wiped down. The floors were not vacuumed bits and pieces of trash were noted. The room definitely showed some wear and tear. The kitchenette area has no plates, cups, or silverware. No pots or pans. There is a small keurig machine and 4 coffee pods, what about the people who don't drink coffee. Tea would be nice. We called the front desk because the volume on both TVs only had sound for a few stations. We were told maintenance was gone for the day. Breakfast was OK, looking but we didn't stay there to eat. I wanted a piece of fruit, but the bananas and oranges they had were not ripe. It's definitely not worth 300 a night. It was also very loud, all the walking on the floor above us, doors opening and closing. The shower was great at night, but in the morning, my husband had hardly any hot water. We were disappointed, we stayed here over a year ago and it was so much nicer.

My sister-in-law and I were attending a concert and we needed a place to stay for the weekend. I booked us a room here. No issues during check-in. The place reminds me of a lodge. Very cute and cozy. Even the room was designed and decorated to keep that lodge-y feels. We got a room with 2 queen beds and as a result, it felt quite cramped but there was still a desk and a large chair, equivalent to the size of a loveseat sofa. The place was clean and felt well-tended to.They offer free hot breakfast which we took advantage of on Sunday morning. They had your usual breakfast options (eggs, breakfast meats, potatoes, etc). When we went to grab our breakfast, the dining area was already super crowded but we found some seating by the lobby. To summarize, we had a wonderful stay. The place was great, the staff were friendly and there were several different restaurants located within a mile or less from the hotel. If I ever need a place to stay around these parts of Missouri, I would not hesitate staying here again.

I would definitely stay here again. The decor was fun, the rooms were extremely clean. Complimentary breakfast was very good. If you don't have a vehicle there isn't a lot nearby that's walkable. There is a bar but I do not recommend ordering from their limited appetizer menu. That's the only 'negative' I can give for this place though!

I am retired and have been traveling a lot. I actually just came back from three weeks driving around France, Italy and Switzerland and now driving from Oregon to Florida.Stoney Creek is an older lodge style and it’s an awesome place to stay! It’s made with real materials, solid, quiet and comfortable. Very courteous staff, great amenities. Parking lot is large, well lit and has actual real car spaces.Definitely one of my favorite stays!

You can tell that once this hotel was a grand place to stay. However, the hotel needs some updates and remodeling. The ice machines on every level had issues, weren't working or were non existent. There was duct tape holding down a carpet seam close to the bar area/conference room. However, the staff was super friendly and helpful anytime there was something we needed or wanted. Hospitality was definitely there.

It has seen its heyday but still a decent hotel. I personally hate carpet in hotels but I get it. The main thing I like is a white comforter, they win here. Not a breakfast person so I did not partake in this but it was crowded during this time.I found an awesome walking/running trail about 5 minutes away that takes you along different UM buildings.Nearby activities: Walking trail.

This is a nice quaint 2 star hotel. The people are friendly and the rooms are clean. In the morning the hotel provides your standard Hampton Inn type of breakfast. Breads, cereal, yogurts and bagged potatoes, sausage and eggs. Other than the Tiger Hotel you really can't find anything too nice in Columbia so this is clean, safe and friendly. Does the job for a night.

Stayed here 2 nights on a cross country road trip with my husband; once on the way out, then on our return trip. This place was unexpectedly pleasant to stay at. So if you're familiar with the David Lynch show "Twin Peaks," this place gives off heavy Great Northern vibes. Ersatz log cabin style. Giant moose head mounted in the entrance. A moose statue in a pond feature in the parking lot. (Seriously, there aren't moose in Missouri so we thought it was adorably goofy of them to feature moose so heavily here). The room even had faux fur window valances. The rooms we stayed in were comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly. And in the morning, they served a damn fine cup of coffee.I'm giving 4 stars because, as chuffed as we were at the decor, the hotel does feel a bit dated. Carpets could use a refresh, and the rooms were a bit stuffy and stale smelling upon entering, like they needed to be aired out a bit. Overall we enjoyed sleeping here and would consider staying again.

Great location for Mizzou fans. The free breakfast is good enough. It's got a odd moose decorations theme. The pool is nice.
