Rooms: The suites are spacious and clean. The kitchen comes fully stocked with all the accoutrements you need to cook like you are at home. The bedrooms are furnished with beds that I literally have to climb into, and once I do.... I settle right in to a perfect nest of soft fresh linens and pillows. Haven't slept this good in forever!
Food & drinks: 7 days a week breakfast is offered with a variety of options ranging from the standard Continental Fair IE scrambled eggs and waffles and bagels etc to mini omelets and French toast sticks and hash browns. Of course there's always fresh fruit, as well as cottage cheese and even a custom chobani yogurt bar.
And if all that wasn't good enough staybridge goes above and beyond 3 nights a week with something they cal 'The Social'. It's more than just your standard happy hour although complimentary beer and wine are available. They also provide a mini-buffet for dinner. From a loaded baked potato bar to Taco Tuesday, to Grill Night (burgers, dogs, DELIGHTFUL potato salad, etc). It's innovative, fun and tasty. I cannot wait to see what this week's menu will be!!
Noteworthy details: Aside from the standard amenities; pool, hot tub, fitness center, they also offer a variety of other family-oriented options from board games to DVDs to video games alike. Virtually ensuring there was never a dull moments for kids and parents.
It should also be mentioned that they provide free laundry facilities for their guests!!!
And finally behind the building they have created an amazing garden area with a gas fire pit as well as a barbecue area with two gas grills and electric Weber and a charcoal Weber available for guests to use any time. If I didn't know better I would swear I was in my own backyard back there!!!

Have to give a shout out to the night manager, fastest check in ever. Thanks dude. And now for the breakfast chef, she was awesome, everything was delicious, but those bluberry scones were the star of the show.
Quiet, clean and comfortable and value priced. Thanks to everyone.

Driving for over 10 hours to arrive and check-in. Threw our bags in the room and went to get some food downtown.
When we got back, we noticed that the room was dirty and had a hint of smoke. The longer the AC ran the more smoke we smelled. Counters clearly not wiped down before we arrived. Sheets were dirty with "something" and we asked for a different room but was told they were sold out. When we went to pick up our new bedding (that we had to change) we heard a family come in and ask for a room and were promptly sold a room that "miraculously" became available after 9:30 PM.
Tried to go and enjoy the pool and hot tub to relax after a crazy long drive, but the amount of peeling paint on the floor and floating in the pool was a bit of a turnoff. Bottom of pool was also peeling, yikes. The hot tub had what appeared to be a pile of dirt and sand in the corner. Numerous tiles around the pool were cracked and completely wrecked. Appeared nothing like the pictures on their website. More about the website later.
Back to the room and found old candy chocolate ball on the floor next to the bed, further evidence the room was not cleaned properly like they claim all rooms are.
The drain to the sink appeared to be put together by anyone but an actual plumber using about 3 different random plumbing parts, some of which were not even connected properly. Not to mention the large gap to the wall and what appeared to be black mold under the sink. That would explain why our allergies flared up after arriving. Or they could have been triggered by the bugs in the AC or the dust bunnies living in the fan outlet.
Surprisingly the bed was not terrible.
I think it's funny the mgmt is calling out guests for questioning the pet policy of non refundable $75 charge that is listed on the website. The same website that says this is a "recently remodeled" and "upscale" hotel. And pictures showing the hotel in a picture perfect state. Laughable really. These pictures and descriptions are one of the reasons we chose this hotel, not to mention Staybridge suites are typically in the nicer range for Holiday inn. Not this one, oof.
I've stayed at hundreds of holiday inn properties, this is the second worst, only outdone by a tragic experience with bedbugs. You couldn't pay me to stay at this hotel again. Couldnt get out of there soon enough.
So maybe that sums it up, this hotel is better than a bed bug hotel.
PS. Was told mgmt would contact me. That turned out to be a lie (surprise!)
PPS. I grabbed a bagel to eat later on the road, only to find mold on it. Should've grabbed that chocolate ball instead.
Safety: Not sure about overall safety of this area but after driving around town, I wish I'd found a place near there with something local I could walk to for food and drinks.
Walkability: This place is difficult to drive to. Walking would be extremely dangerous.
Food & drinks: Ice available at front desk after they tell you it is in your room fridge, which has had no time to accumulate when you first get there.

I used Southwest Rewards to book this. When we arrived the front desk told me the digital card that was sent was declining. While they were making calls to figure it out they went ahead and let us go to the room. They had taken my card for incidental charges. An hour or so later they came knocking on my door and told me they still couldn't get it to go through and needed me to come down stairs. It was somewhat embarrassing as people were looking at me like I couldn't pay for my hotel room. I was trying to get through to chase or southwest to tell them they were having issues. I was to the point of tears when the front desk guy said "I think I figured it out" apparently he was trying to run the room charges and the incidental on the rewards so the amount was wrong and that's why it was declining.
After leaving the hotel for days I had a pending charge for $75. I kept thinking it was for the incidental fees and it would come off. But after 4 days the charge was final. I called to ask why and I was asked if I had a pet and I said yes. I was told that was why. I explained no one at any point told me they were charging me an additional $75 for pet. Their response was it's listed on the website. I was at the front desk multiple times obviously and not once was told of a pet fee. Horrible customer service.
The room was a nice size but the room smelled like dirty dogs. Also at check in I was handed a paper to read that mentioned car break ins had been happening.
Breakfast was good but all of the tables and chairs were so close together you had to squeeze between people eating to get t9 the food.

The rooms are great! Service however, I dont know how the property manager is still employed here. Terrible customer service. If you don’t like interacting with folks, why are you in the hotel business?

Lisa, is insufferable. Had a small conversation with her, she didn’t care to resolve anything. I can only imagine how she treats the employees.

The front staff was nice upon arrival, although we got double charged for something it was fixed right away. They are doing some renovations so the hot tub wasn't open but the pool was. Our room was perfect, clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was a good size, you can tell the rooms were renovated first. The breakfast was surprisingly good. A large variety of items, yoghurts, bagels, eggs, bacon. And it's pet friendly!
Rooms: Spacious, Clean, our suite had a kitchenette.
Walkability: Restaurant right next door, which is great for late arrivers.
Food & drinks: Breakfast was good. Coffee was actually pretty decent.

I reserved a room at Staybridge Suites yesterday and to say the least I am not happy with the service I received. I put in my reservation a week in advance and me being a IHG rewards member I have come to expect a level of customer service from their hotels and what I got was far from it. The day I was supposed to pick up my room key (two hours before check in) they called me to ask if I lived in the city which I did. They then told me that they were going to have to cancel my reservation because they only rent to people who don't live in the city limits. I asked questions about the policy and the only response I received was "I don't know" and that it was listed on their website. The mentioned policy is at the bottom of the page in a small window well under where you look for rooms and booking and while booking it never gets mentioned. I dealt with David who then said that he could switch my reservation if I have someone in my party that didn't live in the city. I hung up from David and found someone that lived outside city limits but before I could call him back he called me to tell me that his manager told him to just cancel my reservation anyway even though I had someone who fit their parameters. I forgot to mention that I reserved the Suite for my wife's birthday so a last min change like this essentially ruined her party. I found out later that the receptionist called his manager on her day off just to have her cancel my reservation no matter what (before we got off the phone the first time David said I had until 6pm to find someone). I asked a couple of times to talk to a manager before that happened as well. To sum up even though I had reserved in advance for this room and in the reservation I put my address down they waited until there was only 2 hours until my check in to call me and give me a run around just to cancel my reservation anyway in a move that felt more spiteful than policy driven. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone living in city limits or outside.
Noteworthy details: Customer service here is subpar
