Our service advisor Chris and the parts department got my cousin and I out of a bind when his water pump failed while visiting from Colorado. Thanks to their great customer service and parts stocking we were able to get my cousin back on the road and home safely!

Robert was great to work with! Called over the phone and within 30 minutes, had a deal worked out for my Tiguan. We got to the dealership- instantly greeted, friendly atmosphere, not stress inducing, paperwork was quick & easy!! Highly recommend Robert. :)

I will never return to this dealership. I leased my fourth VW on 6/14 from this dealership. I was there over 4 hours while my financing was fumbled through. I was told that I was the first person they had done the paperwork for, yet they were turned loose with no supervision. This in turn led to paperwork not being filled out correctly. I had to be interrupted at my job at a hospital to redo paperwork. I was then contacted that the paperwork was still incorrect. I was interrupted at work a second time for paperwork and was told by the courier that the salesman had lied and stated it was my fault the paperwork was incorrect and altered the paperwork after the fact. The courier was in disbelief this individual still had a job.
Because of this mess of an ordeal I still don’t have my license plates and my temp tag expires on 7/13. I also can’t use the VW App because my account is “pending”. I have emailed and left messages with no response to any of these issues. Save yourself the headache and go to a different VW dealership which I will be doing as well also.
Update: The number they responded with for me to call is not a working number.
Second update 7/12: Since I couldn’t get a reply regarding any of my issues, I drove an hour there. I spoke with the GM Stephen who couldn’t have cared any less. I will leave VW before I would patronize this dealership again.
Third update; I received a phone call from the finance director that my paperwork was still incorrect and suddenly they were able to email it to me. They also promised to make my first payment and mail me a check to do so. It’s been 2 weeks and still no check even after being told numerous times that it was “on the way”. Avoid this dealership at all costs. I have never seen such incompetence or poor business practices

We bought a used Kia from the Machens VW lot a few months ago from Leo. We had an issue with it that at the Kia dealership couldn’t get to for 7 weeks but Leo and the team at VW helped us out so much! They went above and beyond for a problem that wasn’t even theirs and for a car that wasn’t even a VW. Leo will always be our first call for all future vehicle purchases.

There was a recall on a part that needed to be fixed. I towed my vehicle down there for the part to not even be installed! Another car shop had to tow my vehicle back just so they could install it. Instead of this part that was supposed to be free since it's on recall and I also have a warranty, it wasn't! Cause I had to pay someone else to install it.

I have been trying to reach someone for the past two months for them to cancel my warranty. No follow up not a call back. I have received nothing but silence from them and its beyond ridiculous. Last time I talked to someone it was sales rep and they basically told me its a Saturday, and no will answer Okay? does not mean you can not take the time to value your customer an help that's is call poor business if you're willing to push your customers away and not answer the several voicemails I have left!

I have had my VW diesel serviced in St. Louis, Springfield, and Columbia. We live nowhere close to a dealership and can say Machens service department is why I drive over two hours. Recently I had a NoX sensor go bad. It wasn't easy to get to and since the vehicle was due for 100k service, called for an appointment. I gave them the error code, told them which bank and sensor and ordered parts in advance, along with a new FOB. Upon arriving, they realized we had the wrong NoX sensor. Realizing it would be another two hour drive, Joey Arenella, a service advisor spoke with a service manager and gave me a considerable discount on the part The following week when I returned, the NoX sensor did not pull easily and a part stripped. They quickly reached out to an exhaust shop in town and had a new part manufactured so I could leave by the end of the day (at no extra charge). Each time I've had my vehicle serviced here, I have been more impressed by their team. Top notch!
