Charged me 500 dollars for basic income tax filing and didn't tell me cost until after taxes were filed... Insane price increases will never go back. It used to be around 80 dollars.

Worst tax experience I have had in my entire life. Do NOT speak with Don Lawrence regarding money earned as a business owner or self-employed worker.First, the office is so small— the receptionist checked me in then went into a cubical 6 feet away and started talking to someone about me like I couldn’t hear… I scheduled a meeting with Don after calling to see who would be best fitted for my tax needs. Don was Googling answers to my questions, didn’t seem like he knew what he was doing, he wasn’t able to accurately type on a keyboard, he entered the information in the wrong places, he was giving me unsolicited advice NOT regarding my taxes. After I made it clear I did not want unsolicited advice and him refusing to stay on topic and help me get my 2022 taxes filed I just went ahead and left.

The process was quick and easy. It took less than 45 minutes to complete my taxes however I only had one w-2, one renters credit form, and a SSA-1099 so there wasn't a lot that had to be done. Next year I will probably try and do it myself on the H&R website and hopefully save myself $100. NOTE: Last year I was given some $20 coupons to hand out and if used I would receive a $20 Visa gift card for each. I was very happy to get these gift cards in the mail at random moments last year. This year they didn't offer that same so I was pretty disappointed to have not had that option to make back a little money.

Went in January to see the tax numbers told them I'll be back in April, since you have till April 15th to file. They harassed me and called me daily before April! Plus they couldn't find my file when I did show, so I had to make another special trip out of my way to come back. Never again!!!
