Not the friendliest staff, especially the checkout staff. I know it's not an easy job and some customers are rude, but greet each new customer with a smile and greeting. Fruits and vegetables are expensive. Hence I shop here for few items.

When I arrived one of the young men bringing in the carts asked me how I was doing and if I was looking for anything specific and I told him and he gave me directions. He was super personable and helpful. The store is stocked well and has a nice appearance, well organized. They were out of my "Organic white bread done right" in the larger loaf and there prices, if not on sale are comparable to a Vons or Savemart (California). Hardly any eggs on the shelf. Everything was pretty good

This is my go-to grocery store for the best prices in town (as long as you have your Gerbes loyalty card). Good store brands, especially the Simple Choice organic options. My only complaint is that they seem to be constantly rearranging the store. It's frustrating to go into a store where I shop all the time and have no idea where anything is. They need to realize that they're not going to make the store bigger (if that's their goal) by moving products to different locations. Has to be difficult for your very pleasant employees, too. Just pick an organization plan and leave it alone!

The only problem is if you paying with a card you're good a lot of times I have went to get gas with cash and no one is in the booth. This has happened several times and at different times of the day. I feel they need someone to back the person while they go to lunch.

I do not like disparaging reviews however if it helps customers live better my comments should help provide guidance for your choice to give your hard earned money to. I shopped on Saturday at Gerbes due to their advertisement as having awesome vegetables and good grocery selection. Essentially was not my experience with their foods. I purchase over $40 dollars of fish, another $60 in other meats and ALL of my fish was spoiled! So I called spoke with manager who said I can come get a refund but upon arrival the cashier did not want to give me my money back?! When asking for a manager, the manager even tried to explain away the fact that THEY SOLD BAD FISH, I had to return it thus wasting my gas and then listen to her explain the fish was bad but they did not mean to sell bad fish.........really? Then why was I able to purchase it? Why should I have to listen to some diatribe about intentions when YOU SOLD ME ROTTED FISH and they did not want to return my money? What kind of customer service is that?? I WILL NEvER shop there again - oh and my bill was $400 dollars plus that MOSIERS will get in the future. MOSIERS has NEVER sold me bad food, not once. So DO NOT SHOP AT GERBES unless you want rotten food or them trying to slip one by you - truly appalling people.

i rely on this store for most of my grocery shopping because it is a 5-minute walk from where I live (not an afccident, the proximity to a grocery store was a reason that I moved into my apartment.) There are certain stock items in produce and dairy that I purchase all the time, primarily in produce, dairy and frozen veggies. I'm a vegetarian so can't comment on the meat dept. Since the Pandemic began I come in during the final hour to avoid potential infection. At this point, most customers totally disregard prudent masking but I wear a mask and somewhat furtively stay six feet away from the few customers shopping. My main gripes are the bait-and-switch price labeling and the ragged performance of the self-check registers, which are the only ones open at that time of the evening. In particular, I'm legally blind and rely on the prices displayed in the store and audible feedback from the registers. The prices marked often require a "digital coupon" and that's not obvious. For example, last night I paid $4.99/pound for cherries marked at $2.99/pound. The self-check registers are supposed to provide audio feedback and when they were first installed, announced prices as well as total prices. That got turned off a long time ago and often, someone has turned the audio all the way down or the audio has simply stopped working. So the equipment is not friendly to a legally blind shopper, although the staff are just working stiffs like you and me and do try to be helpful. At other times of day, the staff might be too overworked to be helpful. There was a time decades ago when Gerbes was at the cutting edge of providing "natural foods" but those times are long past. I attribute the problems to the shift in ownership/management from more local to the Suits in a corporate office in some distant galaxy.

Frequently cannot be bothered to stock items I need for weeks or months. The handle on the bathroom door was broken for more than a week. Their produce selection is terrible.

Not too far from I-70. Overall, what you would expect from Kroger Fuel Center. The only downside is they close early (9 PM).

Occasionally the electronic card readers sas me but other than that I've had no problem. The staff are friendly.

Just did my first delivery order through their website instead of instacart. My personal shopper was awesome and found wonderful alternatives to items that were out of stock. Fresh fruit!!!
