the woman with the black hair and glasses is rude and doesn’t want to do her job . i went to her register for one thing and she advised me to use the self check out so she could leave the store unattended and smoke.

Was literally almost nothing on the shelves. You seriously would have thought the store was closing if you had gone in there last weekend. I understand they had their big end of the season sale but none of the other stores were as sparse as this one and it wasn't just items that were part of the big sale it was literally every section every aisle was less than half full with inventory, there were more empty shelves than there were with product on them.

Past few visits here have had to walk through thick smoke outside main entrance. Strong marijuana smell outside main entrance and inside store. Shelves are frequently nearly empty. Aisles are cluttered too. Less than friendly staff. Dofficult sometimes to locate staff for assistance and check out.

If corporate cared about its employees or the customers they would not let it be so unbearably hot in there. I rarely shop at Dollar general because corporate doesn't care rather the customers are comfortable. They should care because the longer you spend in the store the more money you spend. I go out of my way to avoid Dollar general stores because corporate controls the thermostat and could care less if the customers are comfortable not only that the employees are miserable. I have every single time I've gone in there ask the employees if they were hot and miserable because as a consumer in the store spending as little time as possible in there I was hot and miserable. Every single employee consistently says that they are very uncomfortable to the point it makes them feel sick. Yet corporate expects them to work and wonders why they have such a high turnover rate at the stores. Maybe try to care a little bit more about your employees and consumers. The only reason it gets a three-star rating is because most of the employees do the best under the circumstances. There is one employee, who is extremely rude to her customers at the sturgeon Missouri location. She will follow around the shoppers and spray frebreeze. We live in a rural area and these guys are working on vehicles and farms and for her to walk around and insult them like that. I personally know several of the people she's done this to and they are all offended. they are not dirty people they are working people.

Very unorganized and kind of empty shelved. No service person in sight. Clutter and disarray. Definitely not going here again. The only employee I saw was in a doorway near self check out. He didn't say chit to me.PS. Self check outs teaches no kind of customer service skills or people skills. They are killing real retail.

Open the other self check out and stop walking around when you see the check out line is backed up. Stop what you're doing and get your customers thru the line and out of the store in a timely manner

People here are very helpful. Lots of items in various categories. I stopped in to get aspirin and wireless earbuds and had a selection for both and the associate helped me find several.

The store is always in shambles and cluttered nothing is on the shelves with giant carts of unshelved merchandise in the walkways with no one restocking shelves.

I love DG. But it is really annoying that they make you use self checkout, then the older man there will completely ignore the customer’s checking out like he is doing inventory or something. I understand one customer or two but when you have a line forming, you need to stop doing inventory and start checking people out. I go to Flanders location once or twice a week. Then when you ask to be checked out, he acts like it is asking to move a mountain. Gets a whole attitude. Prices keep going up and we have to check ourselves out too? I am not your employee. Do better. If you’re going to make people use self checkout to save on employment wage keep your prices the same. Oh and tell Mr. Crabby it IS his job to check people out and he shouldn’t get an attitude about it. I have done two pick up orders in the past and when time to pick up my order, I end up having to go get the items and bringing it to the cashier to complete my order because “they didn’t have time yet”. What? My pick up time is 6. You mean to tell me from the time you open to 6 you don’t have time to grab 4 items? Next time I will ask Mr. Crabby to check me out properly. Customer service is going to hell with gasoline draws on.

What a horrible staff of people. You wonder why people steal from your store! When a customer asks for your help and you can't even turn around to help and you just keep repeating use the self check out and ignore the customer. Shame on you

These people are terribly understaffed and I feel for them. There were associates in the aisles trying to stop product and there was a line at the checkout with one young man trying to keep up with the speed of the customers. But you did a good job and the other workers on the floor appear to be very productive as well. Everyone was pleasant. Customers didn't seem to mind waiting in line they were also in a good mood so it was a nice visit and I found everything I needed.
