Although I had banked at Central years ago, I no longer do. (And I am reminded why). I went in person last week to cash a check off of their bank. I had participated in a consignment sale and over 400 consignors were emailed their checks. The bank was made aware that all of us would have printed checks that would be coming through. The teller was professional and let me know he hadn't seen this before and asked a colleague for assistance. This lady was also professional and mentioned she would need to ask since there was no line on the back for me to sign. She brought the check to Robyn Nall, Assistant Manager at the Paris Rd location. (This information was taken from a business card she handed me after I had requested her information). Robyn proceeded to treat me like I was conducting fraudulent activity. Despite the teller having called and verified with the account owner, and despite him stating that the funds were in the account. Robyn proceeded to be snarky, rude, and unprofessional in how she spoke to me in the lobby in front of other customers. I worked in banking for years and I have yet to ever meet someone who spoke to customers like this. I truly hope that her higher ups take this chance to work with her on appropriate behavior in her position and work on how she talks to your customers. Due to this interaction we are currently working to move my children's accounts out of Central bank and I would encourage others not to bank at this location.

Robyn Nall is my go-to when I need help with anything at the bank. She is always ready to check on or correct any issue or if needed, find the right person to get it done. Best customer service person I know. DH

Paris blvd locationI've been cashing same check for a year through Central Bank without depositing it, as its a check drawn through Central bank and no account is needed to do so. Today a woman said I would have to deposit it first, then have it withdrawn. I called customer service afterwards and he said thats not true, and there has been no change in check cashing operation so I'm unsure if clerk was having a bad day or what, but it sucked and I wasted gas driving to typical branch I use where they immediately cashed it.

Find a different branch to use unless using ATM portal only. This one has the absolutely slowest drive-up service of any in Columbia.In response to your reply: I'd have had no problems w/slow service IF there had been a back up, AND IF cars had been serviced in order of arrival.

It was 430pm and I was told I cannot open a checking account because you close at 5pm. Poor customer service.

Their “procedures” change day to day. Told I can deposit with out my husband one day told he has to be present the next day. Seams to vary teller to teller. Wasted 30 min of my time. Wasted my husbands time to drive to the bank just to show his face. I had his signature and identification. Ridiculous bank go somewhere else.

rule costomer sevice, i’m trying to open a new checking account and i met the lady she so rule she look at me and don’t say anyting or explain everyting to me! she just told me if i don’t have money deposit she not able to open a account for me and she act like i don’f have any money to open the account with her she treat customer so poor and decide to left and go the one at downtown and i got a good service they be no nice treat me as like a hight class customer, he don’t care who i am he just treat me perfect.

I have banked with central bank for 10 years. In the last 2 years, on 3 separate occasions, money i deposited was put into the completely wrong account. The first time and the most recent time (yesterday) were at the Paris road location. The second time it was at the west Broadway location. Each time the funds were returned, but i was basically given the "mistakes happen" explanation, which is so hard for me to believe that it's that easy to deposit funds in the wrong account. And it's hard for me to believe i am the only one this happens to.

I really appreciate the service that Travion Freelon provided me. I am working on building my credit and he suggested I get a secured credit card and set up a appointment with Sarah to talk about my credit counseling and how I can get my credit back on track. The workers at the bank are always friendly and looking to help whenever you come in. I am glad I made the change in switching to Central Bank of Boone County!

Just opened my account with them yesterday. They were friendly and accommodating. Travion Freelon is the gentleman that assisted me during my visit, and was extremely helpful in advising me which account would best suit my needs. The incentives they provide for new clients make opening an account with them definitely makes it worth the while. Excellent customer care and service.

100% BEST BANK!I've personally done business with the majority of different banks in Columbia through my 20+ years in this town. It is people like Mackenzie at this SPECIFIC bank branch that keep me coming back time and time again. Her customer service skills from answering the phone with professionalism and cheerfulness in her voice to her communication skills both hearing me as well as telling me precisely what will happen with my money in order for me to do what I need to do, leaves me almost speechless! She was somehow concise, friendly, efficient, effective and proffesional from the time she answered the phone until she met me at the teller terminal in the drive through service teller video area. She not only went above and beyond my expectations but also managed to communicate effectively with the teller Nick who initially answered the call button. During these extremely taxing times (Covid) with all the changes that are making it harder for people like me to be able to keep up with my finances, this ABSOLUTE ANGEL OF A HUMAN BEING, was there to allow me to go about my business as quickly as humanly possible. It's people like the ones that work at this branch that continually restore my faith in humanity! Thank you Ms. Mackenzie for being the professional you are.

Terrible customer service. Waited on hold for 15 minutes trying to make an "appointment" to come inside and use the change counter which I had previously been approved to do by the manager "kenzie". Finally I decided to go through the drovethrough and call a teller for faster access, after being told I could not come inside and to bring my change to the front door i had to stand there in sandels, shocks, shorts and a short sleeved shirt in 22* weather waiting for them to come let me in. Then I was left standing in the doorway for another 20 while they processed my change and cash deposit. During this time 2 elderly patrons came to the door, I let the first one in feeling bad for him standing in the cold. Much to my surprise the worker "travon" could be heard bad mouthing me for letting another patron into the doorway and out of the wind. this patron was then allowed access to the lobby WITHOUT A PRIOR APPOINTMENT. A short time later another elderly patron this time a woman approached the door and rather than be talked down on agian I did not let this patron in and I felt very poorly about this decision. especially when I noticed in the reflection of the double doors she was shivering. She stood out there for 10-15 minutes before finally returning to her car, never acknowledged (although seen by multiple workers). This is just not what you expect from a "local bank".
