Worst experience at a bank ever. I had a check drawn off their bank that they refused to cash because it was “over the limit.” I’m not a customer but now I’m being forced to become a customer by opening an account and depositing the check. And waiting 7 days for it to clear even though it was drawn off their bank. Their hours in my city are asinine. What bank is only open from 10am until 4pm????

This review is purely my opinion and nothing herein is stated as fact: Bank of America "customer service" is truly beyond awful at every level. They're very clearly trying to maximize profits. Avoid Bank of America at all cost. They should be ashamed. Bank with literally anyone else. Show these corporations that service matters and get out of there.

I made a large deposit to my account on Monday and was told there would be no hold on the funds. The deposit came from my daughter, and was from her BoA account. Monday evening, I got an email saying there would be a short hold on the funds. I called the branch several times on Tuesday. They never answered any call, and do not have voice mail. On Wednesday, I got another email saying the funds would released that day. Thursday comes, still nothing. Meanwhile, BoA did take the money from my daughter’s account. Thursday evening I tried the on line service, which was zero help. I got another email saying the hold was being extended again. I called the branch 10 times today and the call was never answered. BoA has taken the cash from out of one account and keeps delaying putting the money into the other. And not answering any call - they really suck at customer service. I would give 0 stars.

I don't like leaving reviews for businesses unless it is a positive one but I just opened up an account at boa for my buisness only to find out that they don't have drive through tellers at either location and the lobby isn't even open when it says it is. Where are the employees?? I'm going back to my old bank ?

I have to show proof that a loan is paid off. The loan is closed but I can't get 1 person to answer phone in Columbia, Wentzville or 1-800 #'s. Do I have to drive out of town to make an appointment? Because nobody answers the phone anywhere for Bank of America.

Why open at 10 and close at 4 when most people work still at that hour and can't come in? Most Americans go in before 10 and stay after 4. It's been 3 years and the COVID nonsense is over, so don't use that as an excuse now. Must be nice working 5-6 hours a day! I need to seek another bank. Only reason I gave 2 instead of one is I've always dealt with friendly employees there. But your hours of operation are an absolute joke.

I was here a year ago and waited in line for the teller, as soon as I get to the window she closes it on me. I call and complain about it by leaving a message, so I get a call from the bank asking me about my experience. The lady on the phone was rude and stopped me in the middle of my complaint and told me she was the teller. WHAT. She proceeds to tell me she is a manager and she shouldn’t even be helping behind the counter. That’s why she closed the window on me and they are only going to have one teller in the future. Worst banking experience ever.

I was greeted and helped within 1 minute of entering. The teller was friendly, assisted me, and answered my questions. It was a good experience for my 1st visit to this bank.

Min Cai the associate that helped me was very rude and unkind. She kept looking at her phone and time wanting to leave already. I asked her if she was okay to help me or if she needed to leave. She bluntly said I’m fine and then after I told her to help me set up a savings account she bluntly said she couldn’t because she had to leave. She rushed the process I was not understanding and wanted to be kind enough to let her leave. Now I have my account locked because of her bad customer service and no reassurance for everything. It’s so much but Iam not satisfied because now I can’t pay my bills. I don’t think she fully understands that having a bank account is serious. This is where we have money and trust Bank of America to have and handle our money.

Bank is disgusting on the inside. Place looks like a run down nursing home lobby. I would bet money they’re in the red and about to shutter. Vault is over 30 years old too. Tread cautiously.

They no longer offer the drive up window so you have to go in. The problem with that is that they only have ONE teller in all of Columbia working! The line is outrageous and the wait time is forever.
