“I was a little nervous in the beginning of the WHOLE PROCESS! BUT the manager TIM reassured me! And now I can’t say enough about him! He goes over/beyond to make things go smoothly! The complex is well maintained and a beautiful site to see when the swans, and geese are strolling by into the lake. I hope he stays around awhile and keep the complex as nice as it is!!!!!!!”

“I have been living here since 2015. I’m having some issues with a couple of neighbors who are silently harassing me. I emailed management to see what route to take, and they were very understanding in addition to listening to my complaint. Tanya has been very kind, understanding, and supportive. The Maintenance team is very thorough and kind. I’m happy to have been a long time. Resident here, As well as being pleased with the efficient way, they keep the grounds clean and the grass cut. Thank you management team for making this a safe, welcoming, and happy space for us all!”

“The staff was incredibly accommodating, always ready to help with any concerns I had. On top of that, the maintenance team responded quickly and efficiently to any issues, ensuring that everything was back up and running in no time. the apartment itself has poor soundproofing. You can hear everything from upstairs or downstairs neighbors, whether it's loud music, or even running/jumping. If you're sensitive to noise, this could be a major downside."”
“I lived in the Anthony St. apartments for two years and after living in this college town and suffering through some of the worst managements at different places, it was such a breath of fresh air to switch to Barzell. Erlina especially was a great person to work with! I had a maintenance issue that made my A/C go out during a heat wave and she came over and fixed it so quickly. It felt like a small business instead of a huge leasing agency that owns a million different properties. Thanks for everything, Erlina & Barzell!!!”
“We moved into Linkside Villa (Calistoga model) in September of 2022. We started our process in August of 2021 with the Linkside Team. Antoinette (the sales agent), Bob and Blake (the builders) were wonderful to work with. They assisted us to pick out our finishes, flooring, colors, and upgrades explaining costs and showing samples. Not many upgrades were required as these units are well appointed with high end materials and appliances. The whole process was excellent and communication between ourselves and the Linkside Team was smooth. We have been in our Villa for 5 months now and unlike our other new builds we have had ZERO regrets or second guessing of materials, colors, and upgrades. This was a significant downsize for us and it fits us and our lifestyle perfectly! The community and neighbors are just what we hoped to find in a 55+ community. Old Hawthorne CC is walking distance with all of its amenities - Dining, Golf, 2 beautiful pools, tennis, pickle ball, and a fully appointed Fitness Center. It is truly Resort Living! Our new neighbors have been very welcoming, cordial, and helpful. We have dinners, get togethers in our community Clubhouse, and Game Nights. We have found our new forever home, and couldn’t be happier!”

“I have lived at Katy Place for 13 years. After many years as a homeowner, this is now the place I am happy to call home.Positive comments are being made about our new property manager who is very detailed and takes her job seriously. The maintenance crew is great. They usually come quickly, depending upon the serious nature of the issue. The community also reflects the good care of the grounds keeper. Many updates have been made during the last few years, inside and out. I have the two bed/ two bath layout, which is a spacious arrangement. I am always proud to have family and friends visit.”

“Only visited a friend here one time and from that experience I wouldn't mind renting an apartment here. Seems real quite, laundry facility inside the building. Your neighbors are really close is the only downfall. Good parking but a tight fit. The complex looked clean and didn't have a bad smell compared to allot of complex buildings around columbia.”

“I have been in this complex for a semester and have enjoyed my stay. The two bedroom is very spacious and was pretty well preserved upon move in. I will say that this complex has a lot of pet owners who do not pick up after their pets. This can be a nuisance. However, the staff and maintenance are quick to respond. The trash bins are also well maintained.”
“I honestly love living here! The maintenance team are always quick to respond to maintenance requests, and the whole Grindstone team has always been so kind and hardworking. I have no complaints.”
“TLDR: The only problem I've ever run into was the application process, and it was quickly resolved with a phone call to their office. Everything else, the apartment, maintenance, etc. has been really great!
I basically never write reviews but wanted it to be known that all of the bad reviews about the application process do not reflect the quality of their units (or, at least mine) and how quickly they respond to maintenance. This isn't a fake review, but feel free to look me up and decide for yourself. Total honesty, their application process is complicated for no reason and their desk attendants can be unprofessional at times. They'll answer the phone without saying anything, which is really weird and confusing for an office, and have submitted maintenance requests incorrectly. But, that aside I have had a really good experience with this company.
I've submitted three maintenance requests (online, not otp), one emergency, one kind of an emergency and another non-emergency. First was a leaky pipe under my sink (semi-emergency), fixed within 24 hours after submitting a maintenance request online. Second was my dishwasher (non-emergency), they contacted Como Appliances immediately and it was fixed in about a week. Most recent was my fridge which had stopped working. It couldn't keep anything very cool and could only continue to keep some food frozen that was previously frozen, like meat. They contacted como appliances and replaced the fridge with a seemingly brand new one within two days.
Also, I don't speak with Auben very often, but anytime I do he's always helpful/friendly!”

Nina gave us the tour and I know that my son is going to be safe and comfortable in his new home. The grounds feel like you're in a tranquil resort where you can stay active and relax. Everything is maintained to a high standard that you just do see much anymore. As a parent, this is a place that you dream for your kid's first home away from home.
