Unfortunately I didn’t visit on a Saturday when they have wine tastings. However, they were so helpful with suggestions and explanations of the different wines. This was a second visit and will definitely go back again and again. I even took a friend that wasn’t wine savvy and they talked to her and helped her a lot.

The Wine Merchant exceeded my expectations. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable with their selections. In addition to their wide selection of wines, they have other spirits, and a delicious array of meat and cheese. The employees are always willing to help and to give recommendations. They even host weekly wine tasting and sampling events. Whether you live in the area, or are visiting from out of town, be sure to make a stop at The Wine Merchant. You won't be disappointed.

Wine Merchant is disgned by foodies for foodies. However, the person just looking for a great deal on wine can also find some great selections. The best recommendation is to purchase some quality meat, cheese, and a really nice wine.

This truly is one of the BEST small batch and import wine stores ever! I genuinely love it. They have knowledgeable and helpful staff, tastings on Saturdays, and unique delicious wines from across the globe. My husband and I travel 3 hrs one way just to stock our wine cellar from them. Worth it! I highly recommend this gem of a place. ❤️

I can’t say enough about the selection, service and staff at the Wine Merchant, Ltd. Everyone there is courteous, knowledgeable and helpful, and every one of the is accommodating as they can be, even in their busiest moments. Wonderful selection of Bordeaux and Burgundy, along with choices from Napa, Sonoma, Oregon, Washington, Italy, Australia, Spain…and if you don’t see what you’re looking for, ask Jason. He can track down some unbelievable gems. Worth the visit.

Great little wine shop with a helpful friendly staff, they do tastings and classes. They even have some cheese and whiskey too. Stopped by on my way home from work at got my wife a bottle of rosé and myself some bourbon. Would recommend! ??

The best wine store in the area absolutely hands down. Super knowledgeable staff, easy to maneuver store, GREAT selections from worlds wine making regions and at prices for nearly everybody. Also a very decent spirits selection and cheese counter, seriously this place is hard to beat. Did I mention the knowledgeable staff? At most other establishments (not just in the metro area) it can be challenging to find and engage wine store staff in a conversation that ends with anything other than frustration! Cant recommend this place enough.

This is my favorite wine shoppe in stl. Amazing selection of wine, spirits, cheese, and charcuterie. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I love this place.

I visited this store to purchase some wine recently. The woman who waited on me started a conversation about the wine that I was looking for and proceeded to tell me about how she disliked West County because it was "too white." This was offensive and racist. I will keep the store from getting too white by not going there. My friends will be informed of her racism as well. If this person is not an owner she should terminated.

The wine merchant is my one-stop shop for their expert recommendations, higher graded selections, wine, liquor, tastings & appetizers. I’ve been following them for years and they always have me well-stocked with knowledgeable tips, comparisons & tastings. Their staff is the standard bearers on exquisite taste, selections & customer service. This is the only place I shop because they stand behind their experience in being the BEST!
