I inherited my mother’s wedding ring and took it to Elleard Heffern Fine Jewelers in order to have the ring appraised for insurance purposes. Kit Herffern assisted me and was incredibly friendly and professional. I will definitely return to Heffern Fine Jewelers in the future.

Elleard Heffern has been our family’s jeweler since my husband bought my engagement ring there 15 years ago. Their staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They work hard to find pieces that are just right to match your style. Other family members now shop at Heffern’s and even though I moved to another city I make sure I visit whenever I am in town. I just recently had the pleasure of visiting and finding a beautiful pair of new earrings. All of my jewelry was cleaned as I was trying on new things and it was such an enjoyable experience. I can’t recommend them enough!

I had a fantastic experience working with Kit to remake the antique engagement ring passed down from my husband's family that, although it sufficed for our wedding, I never really wore. The vintage setting was sharp and scratched people and tore clothing. We had it filed down but it still clawed my newborn baby. For my 10th wedding anniversary, we decided to try to find a way to use the diamond but in a setting that I might be able to wear. I wanted something low-profile, with a vintage look, that wasn't too flashy but that fit a decent sized diamond. I figured we'd just go in to a place and pick something out, but it turned out that I was incredibly particular about something that would be on my finger all the time. We went through a lot to find this ring. Kit worked tirelessly to find a ring that I would like. Ultimately, he worked with far-away colleagues to find multiple antique rings, one of which I fell in love with, and then his craftsman remade it to fit me perfectly. It is gorgeous, and, I have now worn it every day for six months. I am a dancer, and I can even wear it in the studio. I still glance down at my hand fairly often and admire how much I love this ring. Kit was an utter joy to work with. He is also fair, honest, and kind. I cannot speak highly enough of him, and I am incredibly grateful to him for helping me find a ring I love. Now, when I look at my ring, I am warmly reminded of the great grandma who owned the original diamond, my mother-in-law who let me proudly wear it, my husband who asked me to marry him...and Kit.

Great experience shopping for an engagement ring. I was on fairly tight budget and they helped me find a perfect ring at a great price. I highly recommend, especially to other lgbt people looking for somewhere welcoming and non judgemental.
