This review is zero stars. We had a lovely experience with Luke Hardin in sales. He had the car ready to show us, took us for a test drive and then agreed to all of the terms we were asking for. The sales GM, Corey, came over and sat down in Luke's chair and told us is was "his" building and "his prices" and he would not be lowering any prices for us. He also said he could not find an interest rate competitive to others in the area because our 22 year old was a "risk" as a first time buyer, even though we were co signing with her. He said that the bank already assumes she will default, which is an interesting assumption with a cosigner. He said as parents we were irresponsible to not pay the extra 3% to build her credit. Corey also told me I don't know how interest rates work and they are not what I see on the current interest rate charts and that the banks are lying. He told me if we didn't like his terms we could "get out of his building", so we did. That night I sent Luke an email and said as long as Corey worked in the building they will not be getting our business. The next morning Corey found an interest rate for our 22 year year old without a cosigner for the 3% less that we asked for and he also lowered the car on the online listing by the amount we had asked. I have spoken with Nick, the dealership GM, and although apologetic, he took no responsibility for the abuse we encountered from Corey and the terrible experience we had at Lou Fusz Ford. The dealership made no acknowledgment of the way Corey's was allowed to treat us. Corey has no business being in a public-facing role. Please do not let them lie to you and abuse you. There are too many cars out there at dealerships that legitimately deserve to sell a car.

Took car to Christian Brothers Auto on 1/4/2023 as we saw coolant puddle in driveway underneath vehicle. Christian brothers auto diagnosed and said, “Removed spark plugs and used camera to inspect inside of the combustion chamber. Found signs of coolant intrusion on tops of cylinders and cylinder walls. Due to engine being known bad for cracked cylinder walls. Technician recommends replacement of engine. Ford has TSB for this issue”
So we took car to Clement ford and they said that they found nothing wrong with the car. They did a spark plug replacement and fuel injection cleaning and charged us $584.51.
Ford has issued a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) for 2017-2019 Ford Escape vehicles with a 1.5L EcoBoost engine that were built before April 8, 2019. The bulletin, dated June 9, 2022, covers coolant intrusion into the cylinder bores and offers a one-time, no-cost repair for the 1.5L short block.
Then in July of 2024, we started seeing heavy white smoke coming out exhaust and coolant disappearing but no signs of coolant on ground. We paid Lou Fusz ford $195 for a diagnostic test (on 7/12/2024) for this issue as antifreeze is being lost and white smoke is coming out the exhaust pipe at startup.
This time, Lou Fusz Ford is claiming that all coolant tests passed and no IDs found relevant to recall issue. Lou Fusz is claiming the antifreeze is leaking through the weep hole in the water pump as cause for antifreeze leaking. However, smoke from exhaust at startup says additional diagnosis required. So Lou Fusz ford did not even complete the diagnosis that we paid for. And we have now paid Ford dealerships $390 for diagnostic fees and the car has not even been diagnosed.
Additionally, I have spoken with a previous Ford Mechanic who is saying there has to be an issue with cracked block or head gasket for white smoke to come out exhaust.
It seems to us that Ford is trying to get out of fixing an engine that is covered under recall. We will no longer be customer with Ford if this is not corrected and Ford does not take action to address the actual issue.
UPDATE: Spoke with service manager who agreed to take car back in to fully diagnose white smoke. The car did not get looked at for over 10 days and then they just again tell us we will need to pay additional $600 to diagnose white smoke. Took car to another mechanic shop who says no antifreeze is coming out of water pump and we need to take the car back to ford to address the bulletin issue which would be cause of the issue.

If I could leave no stars I would, service at this dealership is abysmal. The lady at the front desk is incredibly rude and it’s very difficult to get someone to help you. I would recommend bringing your car to literally any other dealership because to ask them of anything is like pulling teeth.

I had inquired about a vehicle and Machaela Byrne helped me with the answers. Decided to go in and look at it and she was able to help me with any more questions I had. Next day, I went back to purchase and was very pleased with my purchase. Machaela was very easy to talk to and a huge help with this purchase. I highly recommend her!

WILL NOT be buying another car here. A month after purchase and I'm still waiting for my front floor mats that they couldn't find before I left so they would mail them to me. Also, still fighting with Ally to access to my loan because of the paperwork. The Missouri license bureau said "I've never seen dealership paperwork like this". Never again!
Edit: Just got my floor mats in the mail and as expected, they are generic mats, not only that but they are one of the cheapest sets you can get. Called John Stahl and is now denying he ever told me they were the mats for the car. The fun just never stops with Lou Fusz Ford.

Sales people were good but the service and valet were awful. Had 2 new tires included in my deal had an appointment to get them done that day and they didn’t get it done. The next day they had it they didn’t get any work done on it. I picked my truck up and made an appointment for next week to get it done. Called for 2 days no answer until Wednesday last week. They picked my truck up and then called and said they ordered the wrong tires. They had my truck for 2 days the previous week and didn’t even look at the tires. I finally got my truck back Thursday with all new tires after having to go up there and chew them out. Then we told them Thursday I needed my truck by 2:00pm. The main valet guy instead did a further drop off to get that out of the way when we specifically told them by 2:00pm. I didn’t get my truck until 2:20 which I was then already late for work. I wouldn’t recommend the valet service since they made a very inappropriate comment about what they would do to my truck if I didn’t give them a 5 star review. If you’re going to buy here don’t get any work done one of the worst experiences I’ve had.

It was a delight to work with Machaela Byrne when purchasing my 2024 Mustang convertible. She was not only pleasant but truly seemed honest and interested in my wishes. As a matter of fact, even the finance department was great to work with. So, all in all, it was a very easy experience. I would definitely encourage anyone buying a car to contact Machaela.
