Staff is nice and friendly. But I feel like they are more of a bird vet than anything else. I have 3 ferrets and they had a double ear infection with ear mites, they tried multiple different kinds and combos of medications and literally nothing worked! I never got anything helpful from them but that was just for my ferrets. Then they recommend me to an exotic specialist which quadrupled my bill for the same results, and the exotic specialist (which I stopped going to immediately) is now shut down/ permanently closed as well.

Hi there my name's Lisa and I would like to thank the staff and Doctor K and Mrs K for everything they did for my Baby Yellow bird. She was very very sick and we almost lost her. Thanks to them and the staff and their excellent expertism. After 11 days in ICU . She's been Home 2 weeks today and is almost herself again. A special thanks to Ellie and Ryan that called me Or my husband every morning to give us an update on our baby just like a person in the hospital. xoxoxo

We had two rabbits and had them both scheduled for neutering on the same day. Unfortunately, one of our rabbits passed away during the ‘routine’ surgery. When we came to pick up the bunny that did survive, they made us pay on the spot $200 to get her cremated. Fast forward and her ashes given back to us in a cheap cardboard box with no personalized touch. We have had two other pets cremated in the past and have never not been returned ashes in a wooden box. Our daughter was startled when she opened this flimsy cardboard box just to find a clear plastic bag of her ashes in there. We had assumed there was a wooden box inside. We were also supposed to get a paw print and didn’t receive that. Just so so so disappointing.Understand that these things happen, but the way they handled the death was such a turnoff that I will never return. Will never return here and will never recommend them to anyone else.

I've been taking Riley, my 12 lb Shih Tzu mix, to Tericka's dog grooming service at Kersting Veterinary Hospital, and I couldn't be happier with the service she provides. From the moment we walked in, she greeted Riley with a warm smile and gentle demeanor, quickly building a connection with her, which helped Riley stop shaking in terror.Tericka is very willing to accommodate our specific grooming requests. In particular, she does a great job cutting Riley's ears and tail. She takes the time to carefully trim and shape them, ensuring they look well-groomed and cute. It's clear that Tericka has a keen eye for detail and takes pride in her work. Overall, I highly recommend Tericka's dog grooming service. We will follow her anywhere!

Amazing, sweet, compassionate staff! My parakeet was attacked by my dog and they had exactly what he needed to get better. I love this little guy with everything I have so being able to trust someone to do so well with him was amazing. Highly, HIGHLY recommend!!

DO NOT GO HERE. They have awful care for rabbits. They told us many many untrue things… and we ended up losing our rabbit because of these people.

I thought they were professional & knew what they were doing but they gave very bad advice and I ended up losing my bunny. She had tumors - they said they thought they were not cancerous and that they felt it was safe to leave them. We did eventually get two different tumors (at different times, it came back) removed because she messed with them and kept bleeding. A year after the first popped up we lost her to cancer. If we hadn’t left the tumors for as long as we did, maybe the cancer would not have spread. They ultimately left the decision up to us but we trusted their advice. They were wrong and the tumors were in fact cancerous or became cancerous. We were also told there are no X-rays for rabbits in saint Louis. FALSE.They had also lost our records on more than one occasion and seemed disorganized. When we scheduled the surgery they made us wait over a month. One of those times was because it’s “dental month” like teeth cleaning takes priority over surgery for tumor removal… I also felt like I could not call with questions as sometimes I was met with an attitude.

I was only able to come on time before my Tater Tot passed away but they were nothing short of excellent. The vet tech, Courtney, honestly has to be the sweetest human being that I've ever met. She went above and beyond to make sure that I had as much time with my little Tot after they passed. She did not hesitate to bring them back in the room after I had asked for them to be taken away and she was so comforting. She went above and beyond with TaterTot's foot print and was careful to choose some of the prettiest feathers for it. Thank you for going above and beyond to comfort me and make this sad experience bearable, I cannot thank you enough. ?After they passed, Dr. Kersting made a point to call me and pass on kind words. If you have a bird, I would highly recommend them. If I ever have another bird, even though I live 30+minutes away I will 100% be coming here.

Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Dr. Kersting took time to explain the exam process and give suggestions to allow us to be the best pet parents we can be.

We'be been bringing our birds here for almost 20 years because there is no local bird vet. Dr. Kersting is a wonderful bird vet, nice and helpful, and even Chip, our cantankerous Catalina Macaw, tolerates Dr. Kersting and his staff. They also board her when necessary for a reasonable cost. A1+ facility.

Kirstings is a great vet, however I cannot recommend the boarding services there. It unfortunately appears that the weekend staff does not share the same passion for the care of animals as those individuals I have personally interacted with while there for pet wellness needs.I boarded a pair of birds there, and the initial impressions were excellent. However, upon pickup it was clear that care was lacking during they stay. They were not fed according to instructions, and their water was not changed the entire stay (3 days). There were also a number of contradictions between the accounts of the weekend's events as provided by the staff. One of the birds escaped the cage during a cleaning (So I'm told) and in the process flew into a window. The bird appears to be ok, overall. However returned home stressed and plucking feathers. It has been a few days now, and things are improving. We shall see.Just disappointed in what I was sure would be a safe and trusted place to board the birds. Avian vets; especially those that board are not common in this area. I will continue to use Kirstings for veterinary needs, as I believe they are my best option in that department, but until they find a way to improve the level of care provided by the weekend staff, I will not be using their boarding services.

Dr. Kersting has been our dog and bird veterinarian for 35 years. He is wonderful--competent, highly skilled, friendly, compassionate, and sensitive to patient needs. Dr. Ferry is also a very knowledgeable and skilled doctor with a great bedside manner. I highly recommend this veterinary practice.

We leave for out of town in a week and I was looking for a vet to do a quick inner gland expression on my beagle (shouldn’t take more than 15 mins). I called to schedule an appointment and the lady on the phone said “we don’t have the time”. I live right behind four seasons and try to support local businesses but I guess they can’t take 20 minutes out of their entire week for a potential new patient. If they told me that more kindly I would’ve been more understanding, but they were kind of rude on the phone. I went to the chesterfield veterinary clinic right across the street and they got me in the next day, I recommend going to them instead
