Walked in. The person at the counter immediately started to criticize me for not taking care of my boots. Told me 4 times I needed to take care of my boots. I said "do you want to take care of my boots or just stand there and criticize me". He put my boots on the counter and said take them. Glad I had not spent a dime on that business. Ps. The boots need a stitchh repaired on the tongue and the soles were worn down. So not use this business!

He told me my wife's purse could not be repaired, and I appreciate his honesty, he did not waste my time and money.

Ok everyone, the guy is gruff. He doesn't suffer fools. Get over it! He does really good work with quality materials like JR soles for that resole of a decent shoe. I've had plenty of nice calf and shell cordovan shoes through his store and received great results. He's even resoled my Birkenstocks. [Why? No break-in again on the leather upper straps if you were wondering.] I've watched him dismiss someone who basically thought he would let them try a bunch of different show laces on their shoes. (And thought he would lace them for them!) The guy has a backroom full of work from locals and internet referrals to do and economically cares more for the $150 resole of some Aldens than someone walking in for the first time with a $10 request for heel pads that believes he should drop everything for them. I am a recurring customer and have a wonderful report with him. He can be quite pleasant and engaging. Could he be nicer to people? Yes. Should he be nicer? Probably. Do people walk in expecting to have their posteriors kissed? Yes. He is a good place to buy Alden dress shoes, btw.

Thank you so much for the Highest Quality repairs on my Tory Burch Shoes. The look Brand new. You are an awesome Store Owner! Would not ever go anywhere else. Timely completion, very friendly, and took his time explaining things. Brought more shoes to him this AM! Awesome!

If I could rate this Cobblestone a "zero," I would. Due to terrible customer service, I am leaving this low rating and will never return to this store.

Horrible! To stretch a shoe for a bunion he only looked at my foot without identifying the precise location within the shoe. Thus, my shoe was stretched in the wrong location. Furthermore, it’s a small bunion yet my shoes look like they are stretched for a golf ball.An arrogant attitude (just read his snarky responses to unfavorable reviews) as well. If there is a response to this review, he will avoid responsibility and most likely say that these are cheap shoes. While not my finest shoes, these are $350 AE shoes. At least they were….I strongly recommend that you avoid this business if you value your shoes. Perhaps a short drive toward the city to a cobbler with better reviews!

I highly recommend Cobblestone Shoe Repair. I had a pair of heels I couldn’t wear due to the height from an ankle injury and he was able to cut them down so they were comfortable and the quality of work was excellent. On top of that the work was done in two days for the event I wanted them for.

I needed a pair of boots re-soled and had another pair that I was just about ready to toss due to a crappy job performer by a place near Olive & Fee Fee. (In a dry cleaner). I talked to Randy on the phone and he told me to bring them in and he'd re-sole and put new caps on the one pair, and take a look at the other pair. He told me right away what was wrong with them, so I left both pairs with him. Within a week, I had them back and I couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend him for boot and shoe repair. I'm going to take a gun case that needs a bit of repair in as well. I'm confident that will turn out as well as the boots. I'll update this review after that repair.

Randy was not only professional, honest, and a pleasure to work with, but his attention to detail when it came to fixing my shoes was outstanding. Randy told me exactly how he would fix my shoes, how much it would cost, and when they would be ready for me to pick up. There were no surprises, which is exactly what I look for in a service like this - Quality that I can count on. I will be a lifelong customer and will be referring my family and friends!

Absolutely not! He charged me $95 and took multiple extra weeks and the repair is AWFUL. He should have told me when I dropped them off that he couldn’t fix them. When I told him I wasn’t happy with them, he refused to do anything about it. I thought I was helping keep a small business afloat, but clearly a huge mistake!

I've been on a mission to find *quality* shoe repair in Saint Louis for a number of years now. I had some shoes repaired down the street, but they've closed due to pandemic hardships. I performed a rigorous search and found this place in Chesterfield and Creve Coeur. I chose Chesterfield for the proximity, as well as slightly higher rating. With that being said, once I saw why the ratings were "low", I realized that many aren't accustomed to waiting for quality. I have a number of designer dress shoes and sneakers that need reconditioning and repair.I did a trial run with a pair of my mother's boots that needed heel caps replaced, as well as a couple pairs of my shoes and my wife's shoes that needed sole protectors and conditioning.I've been looking at YT videos (Bedo's Leatherworks in Church Falls, VA is a great example to get an idea of what constitutes *quality*), so I have a pretty good idea what to search for when it came to what constitutes a quality repair. When I first stepped into the store, The Saphir products and top-notch shoes accessories let me know that these guys mean business. They've been open as a family business since 1938, and anyone that knows quality will understand why.The lead time for our repair was four days, which isn't bad at all. They not only do shoe repair, but anything leather and even handbag and accessory repair. And once you look at the quality of repair, you'll really see that they take their time to have it done right...the first time. Sure...you can go to a shop and get it done while you wait or a day, but is it going to be done this well? Probably not. Is it going to be better "value"? That's questionable. I am willing to pay a little more just to know that what I send in is fixed the right way the first time. A great bonus is the text messaging system to let the customer know when their repair is complete. No need to keep calling and asking. The receipt even gives you a completion time. My order was completed before noon of the day that the cobbler proposed a 4p completion time. Great stuff.Getting down to the details, the workmanship is *choice*. My wife, on the other hand, disagrees. I think she was led to believe that the alignment should be "perfect" angles, but I see what the cobbler did. First, shoes always have uneven wear, so there's that. Second of all, how can I describe this...the "flow" of the sole is disrupted with perpendicular lines, so the repair was done such that the aesthetics of the footwear wasn't disrupted.I can appreciate the quality that these guys put into their work. Everyone, especially men, you can add this to the list of things that, once you find, you don't let go:1. A great mechanic2. A great barber3. A great tailorand the latest one...4. A great cobblerAny gentleman that's worth their salt will know and keep these four items close to heart and will pass it on to their sons. This list is much longer, of course, but these are the TOP 4, for sure.I've already sent in another couple pairs of shoes for reconditioning and repair. I'm excited because now I have someone that I can lean on to make sure that I will always have top-condition footwear.
