This is a sketchy gas station and a greasy McDonalds. Yikes. The coffee, normally McDonalds standard, was bitter and burnt. The sandwich was greasy and the hash browns were overcooked and cold. How they managed that, I don’t know. The women’s bathroom was sans toilet paper and dirty floors. If you can drive on by.

It was a nice lit gas station that was next to an airport. Can't complain. It served its purpose.

THEY CALLED THE POLICE ON MY WIFE OVER NOTHINGMy wife went to this gas station. Bought $30 worth of gas. Purchased $10 worth of snacks. A fine and dandy Saturday. But then, at the checkout counter, my wife was accosted and berated by an employee. He was yelling at her - swearing up and down that she stole a candy bar. And that he saw it on the cameras. He yelled at her to empty her pockets. Said he saw her take it on the surveillance footage. He snatched her bag of ALREADY purchased items from the counter. kept them from her. Saying “You can have this back when you give me the snickers in your pocket”My wife was stunned and called a friend unsure what to do. She told me she felt like she was being pranked because this employee was acting so obnoxious and outrageous. And then the employee called the police on her!The police arrived. But just in time for him to discover he misunderstood what he saw in the surveillance footage: That she DID NOT in fact steal anything. He said “I made a mistake. I made a mistake” but didn’t once APOLOGIZE - which would have been the right thing to do.A police officer walks her to the car. And one of the officers even followed her to the Maryville Hockey Center after she left. (She was going there to meet me, because I was in the middle of shooting video for the Maryville Hockey team). She was distraught. Understandably so.Imagine the situation: you’re a woman. Alone. In a convenience store. With three or four male employees. AFTER you make your purchases ($50 worth). Some guy comes yelling at you. Accusing you of stealing. Not letting you leave. And then he calls the police. Over a candy bar. That. You. Did. Not. Take. This is no way to treat a paying customer. This is no way to treat a woman (making her feel unsafe and intimidating her)This is no way to treat anyoneCompletely unacceptable. And shameful.I visited this location myself to let the employee know that his actions were not appreciated but they were closed. I returned the next night and the employee that was on duty completely sympathized with the situation. And gave me the owners number. (At least one of the employees knew how to treat people)Never jump to these conclusions without proof. And never treat anyone with such indignity.Again. Wildly unacceptable. Completely Uncalled for.And honestly …Who buys $40-50 worth of merchandise and steals a $2 candy bar?Illogical.
