“One of the better store designs and traffic designs for a lowes or big box store that you can find. Great location in that one or two mile radius where everything is at in Carthage and it's easy to navigate. I can see that the city planners have, well, planned for the future. The service roads go behind the store for future expansion for other businesses. Odd that finally, someone, somewhere does something right the first time. Unlike many Lowes or Home Depot, the bathrooms are at the front entrance. So, if you got a go, you don't have to go very far to go! Why did it take 50 years or more for architects to fix this problem? Knowledgeable and polite staff, 95% anyway. Now, you're not going to get the expertise from a 22 year old that you're going to get from a 42 or 46 or even 56 year old man. But, even on the younger inexperienced employees, I found them to be polite, actually listen to what I was saying and what type of little project I was trying to do and have (surprise!) helpful information, most of the time. Well, there was that time that guy tried to snowball me on low-fume muriatic acid. He tried to tell me it would work just as well. It's low-fume because it's watered down! That's snowballing and hurts the credibility of the store on the whole. The only other issue I had at this store was Princess Snow White who was too busy looking at her own reflection in a mirror to have a clue. It had been a long day, bought one or two items and Princess Snow checked me out. I stood there and waited. She looked at me like a cow waiting for the gate to be opened. I stood a bit more and finally asked if I could have a bag. As I said, it had been a long day and I shouldn't have to ask for a bag. I told Princess Snow White that I was I was the reason people like her have a job. She was not impressed. There was no word from her reflection. Of the Lowes in the area, Joplin, Carthage and Neosho, this is by far the best one in many ways, other than Princess Snow White.”
