I don't know why in Cape Girardeau there isn't 24/7 veterinarians. Our 2.5 weeks old puppy died because these people refused to see her because "we haven't registered our dog with them as a 'client'", we couldn't even get an appointment when we first got her. If these people practice business as such, I wouldn't want to be their client anyway.Even if they couldn't save her life they could have put her at rest, instead our puppy suffered for 6 hours straight till she finally gave in. She didn't deserve to pass such a hard way.

I love Skyview Vet. They are great with the pets and take out time to talk and explain.

The prices are outrages, but the lady at the desk was friendly, but the vet assistant was so rude and fake acting she acted like you where nothing innless you where rich and willing to give them all your money, the vet seemed caring about animals. Also there there was animal hair on the scale that wasn't from my pet . so that tells me they didnt bother to clean the room or wipe it down, and animals can get corona just like us , they can also spread it to people and other animals , I should of said something the second I saw it, that is so disturbing to me that a vet office that says they care about animals wouldn't make sure the room is safe and clean.

This place doesn't even deserve a 1 star, but I had to put something because it won't let you put 0. My family has been taking our animals here for years and years. When they moved out to their new location, it seems that everything has gone downhill. My dog dexter gets frequent ear infections because he has floppy ears, so that means we need drops frequently for him. I called today to see if we could just pick up the drops for him because he has severe anxiety when it comes to going to the vet. They have let us just pick them up in the past, but today they told me that since it is a prescription medication we would have to bring him in for an appointment. They proceeded to inform me that they had no space for an appointment for over a week. So my dog is supposed to just go for over a week in misery with this ear infection?! No!! Also they told me they would have to charge an additional 50 dollars, ON TOP of the already ridiculous prices they charge, to squeeze him in for the appointment. We have been going to skyview, as I said, for YEARS. You would think that they would treat returning customers with a little bit more generosity and compassion than that. Clearly they are all about the money and not about the care and healing of animals. Obviously, we will not be returning to this vet and I will be sharing my experience with all of my friends and neighbors and hopefully they will all come to the same conclusion as me. We will be finding a new vet.

November 2018 by
After having been clients there for 15 years with four pets, on Nov. 5, 2018, we brought our 14-year-old cat that was seriously ill to be put down. Tiger was very shy and only familiar with my husband and me. After the paperwork was completed, we were told that Tiger had to be brought to another room in order to be put down. We said we wanted to be with her in that other room because she knew only us for all her life and we needed to be with her when she died. We were told that this would not be possible since there were other cats and dogs in the room and that they would get nervous if we came along. We paid our bill and left. We have since been unable to find closure because we could not be with Tiger in the last moments of her life. Calling and talking to the manager of Sky View Animal Clinic on Nov. 8 to complain, I was told that I was wrong and that we were told that we could be with Tiger when she died, but that we both declined. This is not correct. And when I told that to the Manager she said that I recollected things wrongly. When I told her that my husband was with me and he recollects the situation exactly as I did, she said, it obviously was just a misunderstanding. This kind of contempt for their clients and disregard for their beloved pets is unacceptable.
