Rhodes Convenience Store is a favorite place for many to fill up, with gas prices that aren't the worst in the area. The location is perfect for those heading out of town or coming into town. Customers enjoy the drink machine with all the flavors, noting delicious options like Peach Minute Maid Zero. The food is generally pretty good, especially the Chester chicken, which is noted as being so good. Many find the store very clean and the people friendly. However, experiences can vary. Some of the younger employees early in the morning receive complaints for not having breakfast ready, leaving food from the previous day still sitting out, and for chit-chatting instead of acknowledging customers promptly. When these particular younger employees are working, customers also note the card readers never work and they play awful music. In contrast, the older employees are praised for always having breakfast ready early, playing more decent and enjoyable music, acknowledging customers when they enter and leave, and being very kind and actually working. For the most part, the employees are very nice, but breakfast is inconsistent as far as when it's available, which sometimes causes customers to take their business elsewhere in the morning. One longtime customer who has been to many gas stations states this store is so different and a great place, encouraging others to stop in and find out for themselves.
