I went to Branneky because they had a push mower in stock (powered only by the person pushing). I purchased one for $130.,which to me is a MAJOR expense. The grass in my backyard was very, very high and it was important that it be cut soon. I arrived home, took the mower and gave it a try. It just rolled over the grass, which was way too high. So, I put it back in my car. It didn't cut anything, so there was nothing, not even a blade of grass, on the bllades. Clean as a pin, unused. I called the next day and the MANAGER answered the phone. I explained the situation and told him I would be returning it, unused. He said, "No, we can't take it back.". I said, I explained the situation to you."
He, the MANAGER, said, "DO YOU THINK WE'RE GOING TO LET YOU RETURN IT BECAUSE YOUR GRASS IS TOO HIGH?"
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was not allowed to return it. It stands in a corner of my kitchen where it will remain until I put it on the curb for someone to take. I was charmed at first, when I saw the interior of the store. There's a very old dollhouse, and a replica of a Western Union stagecoach, which I fell in love with at first sight. I most definitely would have been coming back for things I would ordinarily go to Home Depot for. But after my experience with this MANAGER, and the total waste of $130., I wouldn't buy a matchstick from BRANNEKY. AND, my heart goes out to the people that work for him.

Branneky may be the most helpful hardware store on Earth. They have about anything you may need and their skillful staff at the service desk is glad to help anyway they can to get your job done. No other hardware store offers the services and products like Branneky. If you're a tradesman in STL, you need this ace up your sleeve.

I go here all the time and usually receive excellent service, however, the fellow at the service counter seems to always be having a bad day. Stop taking it out on me. I’m not stupid, you’re just bad at explaining things.

I wish I could give them 6 stars. When you call they pick up on the first ring. When you go in, there is a friendly face to greet you and ask you for help. Customer service is actually still a thing at this store!

This hardware store is fantastic! I have a hansgrohe kitchen sink faucet, and my spray nozzle's o-ring went out. I went to Lowe's and they did not have what I needed. Thankfully, the gentleman at Lowe's said that whenever he needs something that he can't find at Lowe's, he goes to Branneky True Value Hardware Store. The gentleman at Branneky's service desk knew exactly what I needed (a metric o-ring), told me how to install it, and even let me know that I did not need an additional item that I thought I would've needed. I am so glad that stores like this exist, and I could not recommend it more highly!

Tim Branneky went the extra mile with the coordination of getting my dad’s hot water heater installed. I really appreciate what you did! Thanks for the outstanding service! ??

This was recommended as the one place in town that would have an angled cutoff valve shower stem. They have a variety, and the staff were quite knowledgeable on the topic. Great spot for plumbing supplies.
While we were there, we picked up a few other items on the home improvement list. We found pretty much everything (wide range of lightbulbs, planting pots, etc.). This is a wonderful, old-fashioned hardware store with knowledgeable staff and excellent service.

Found mailbox numbers to replace 2 year old numbers. With repeat numbers made it a bit more challenging to replace.
