Good experience but they did not give a pickup time or phone call to let us know what time they were picking up the unit.

We used Zippy Shell, their sister company and scheduling and communication was great. The people were so friendly and helpful! Once booked, however, you go to their main line which is shared with 1-800-PACK RAT and that’s trickier to get through to a person in a timely manner and their customer service is sub par.
We were very pleased that our storage goods arrived in the same condition we sent them off with and delivery and pick up was as expected with timing. However, we ran into some trouble with the delivery.
We got a text from the delivery driver at our destination and gave him specific directions (to include a picture diagram) on where to deliver the unit since we were at our house closing and couldn’t be present (which is not required per the company). He confirmed receipt of the message.
Unfortunately, it was put it in the wrong spot, blocking the driveway and in space needed for the moving company to access the house. In addition to it being in the wrong location, our yard and sidewalk were damaged. We had a fence being installed that morning and the workers witnessed the driver back up through our yard (making quite a mess in newly laid sod) and deeply cracked the concrete sidewalk/driveway.
So not only was it placed in the wrong location (blocking driveway access for the moving company) we now have to replace part of the yard and get the concrete fixed.
When we called to resolve the issue we were told we would receive a call back shortly and we never did. We called back a second time and they couldn’t find that the unit had been delivered and said they would call back with when they were going to come move it and we didn’t receive a call back that time either.

Container information was suppose to go to right of the house in the grass orginally driver was going to leave it on the street! Thankfully we were home and my husband ran out to her. She gave us attitude about putting it in the grass. She originally was going to block the sidewalk and we told her she couldn’t, again attitude. Pick up times changed within two weeks of us getting this container so we had to have it picked up earlier on a Friday (original plan of Saturday no longer offered ) and pay a fee to get an afternoon delivery as we didn’t take possession of the new home til 12. I will say we didn’t measure driveway but I had to instruct the driver on how to get it to fit on property I would think they would have some basic math knowledge doing this for a living. Paid again for am delivery for pickup they did not show up til afternoon so now have to call and see if we can get refunded. We needed it moved in am because our moving truck was coming. Overall horrible experience and would not use again .

I, I'm giving a review of the guys that have delivered these pods to my house. And they are very outstanding, gentlemen, and they're very polite. They know their job. And I would refer you guys to anybody, so therefore, I'm giving those guys that are here delivering my pod that the one guy he's been here before and he's an awesome dude and the other guy that's here is the first time he's been here, but he's awesome. Too. So I just want everybody to know that every. Everybody that's been here with delivering and picking up.My pods have been outstanding.And I recommend that they be appreciated and accomplished for all their hard work

I wish I had looked up the reviews before I bought in to their service.
All seemed well enough until it came time to pick up the empty container. They say call and 72hrs later they'll pick it up. Lies & excuses I was told.
They say "they just can't get to it until the scheduled pick up date on a Saturday. "
Then I see all the people getting double charged for their incompetence in scheduling!
Now I'm nervous I'll be double charged fpr their lies (we'll pick it up 72hrs after calling) and their incompetent scheduling (The day they just have to pick it up is the original scheduled date.)
Leaving me to deal with the HOA compliance & parking issues until then.

You'd ask me to put my sensitive information in an online post? Risky at best.
When I called to have it picked up, they had no problem booking the earlier pick up.
The folks in charge of the pick up said they can't pick up until its original scheduled date because they can't force people to come into work, vehicle problems, and over booked schedules.
When they offer that many excuses, it reeks of "nobody is adding anything to my schedule, period." They said their hands were tied.
No mention to even picking it up on any day other than the original pick up date.
If I'm not double charged or anything else, I may change my review? Time will tell.

I was going to use them but look at the reviews!! Delay drop off and pick up??? Charging extra money because they don’t pick them up on time??? Idont see anyone saying they resolved their issues, only apologies which don’t make up for their mistakes!

The entire team has been so helpful during a very painful time of transition. We called on a Friday and the pod was delivered by Monday. Terry, the gentleman who delivered my pod, was kind, patient, careful, and knowledgeable. Very grateful for smooth service.

This is the second time I’ve used pack rat. Both times our box was delayed in getting delivered to us. Obviously, this was frustrating. However, working with the warehouse managers and customer service was great and they helped make the best of the situation. If I move again, I would still consider using pack rat.

I came to pick up a load from this company and after three hours the forklif man with very bad form did not want to fix the pieces and I had to end up canceling this trip.. this man does not master his job and he does not want help either.. no I recommend this place.. I don't recommend this place. The operator is very rude and disrespectful.
