My first time visiting Petco I was there for the veterinary and second day for the grooming, it was a pleasure and an honor to be in the presence of people that shared their concern about my pet they did an awesome job the veterinary and grooming love love love it..

it's mid. they have good toys and organic food for my cat and even cute cat trees and bowls and her favorite bed that she LOOOVES, and the service is pretty nice EXCEPT FOR THE VET!!!! DO NOT GO TO THE PETCO VET!!!!! They said they were going to trim her nails but they said she was being "too difficult" so they "couldn't do it"?!?!! Like, no, my queen isn't being too difficult, CUT HER NAILS!!!! And on top of that, we took a fecal sample to make sure everything was fine in the tummy area and they said it looked fine but a WEEK after we took her home we found out SHE HAD WORMS?!?!! The vet DID NOT do anything. It's fine to shop at petco, but the vets are terrible.

Took my dog here for a grooming appointment. Lady who inspected her did a very quick inspection and just defaulted to saying she needs to shave my baby down due to “severe matting”. Of course, naturally I didn’t agree as I felt and made sure my baby was combed properly but it was disappointing how the lady was quick to suggest shaving. Well, after that upsetting experience, I brought my baby to the nearby Petsmart and they were surprised as to why they suggested shaving her down, a trim would’ve been appropriate and they were nice and thorough with their assessment. I could only with the same level of professionalism and care from Petco - looks like I’m moving my vet care and grooming elsewhere after that experience, glad I got a second opinion!

Melanie the groomer showed comfort and compassion towards my furry baby which put him at ease. The check and pick up process of was smooth. My puppy boy was ready when stated. I sense the professionalism in the store.

I've had trouble finding a great groomer for my King Charles Cavalier in St. Louis, but now Petco will be my go-to spot thanks to Meagan C. She was so sweet & welcoming when I first arrived & has the same breed of dog so knew exactly how to properly cut his hair. You could tell she put so much care into his haircut & bath. Thanks again Meagan!!!

EDIT: I thought this was the Petco store review I have not been to the grooming I meant to review the storeManagement is disgraceful. Saw an employee yell and threaten a senior customer until she was shaking and crying. I feel bad for the employees there working under the horrible managers. Won't be going back ever.

Took my schnauzer in for a groom today, and I’m incredibly disappointed in the service. We were told that they had to shave him because was “too matted.” Please refer to the before photo, where you can clearly he was not. I also checked this before I took him because I know his curly hair can get tangled and I did not want him shaved. They said they wouldn’t touch his beard, but they chopped it down and there’s a bunch of uneven cuts. They shaved off his eyebrows almost completely as well as his entire skirt/legs. My poor boy was done so dirty. They said he would be ready and when we arrived he wasn’t. I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially for anyone with schnauzers.
