I didn't catch this woman's name, but I think I may have just experienced the best customer service I've ever had in my life.
So, I walk in with purpose, and I'm staring at the imported chocolate bars. Looking for a Lion bar, and not seeing one. (These are good but not popular, a perfectly understandable thing to be out of.)
Enter our protagonist. This woman with long silver hair appears, clocks that I'm A.) looking for a specific candy and B.) not seeing it. I didn't get the woman's name, but I'd probably cast Jane Lynch to play her in a movie. Maybe Jaime Lee Curtis. Main character energy, is what I'm trying to say.
She springs into action, asks what I'm looking for, runs a scan, and I can see her becoming an expert on Lion bars in real time. She tells me she'll look in a recent shipment.
I continue my shopping, staying close to the candy out of courtesy. I notice a Lychee candy I like and pick it up.
Our hero reappears, with news from the back. It's not in the shipment, she says, but she has an idea. She then says some... World Market jargon that I didn't quite follow, but the gist is that there are more places to check.
She disappears again, this time for longer. I continue my shopping, confident she can find me anywhere in the store. And sure enough, she re-emerges.
"It's not on any palette. I ran the numbers, did a (more World Market jargon), and the last order was in April. The good news is, we CAN still order it, and we WILL order it." She then gave me detailed instructions as to when I could reasonably expect to see some Lion bars. All this was said and done with a smile and the utmost courtesy.
I thank this person for their time, and as she turned to go a final time, I noticed that she did all of this - with a walking boot on.
This employee ran around World Market, checked in the back not once, but twice, for a candy bar, all with a walking boot on. I was floored.
I did what anyone would do, and immediately texted a friend the entire interaction. My friend's response, "you met a videogame protagonist." Yep. Sounds about right.
Lion bars are good, but honestly nothing makes my day like someone going above and beyond like that.
I can't imagine there are too many silver-haired employees running around World Market with a walking boot, so if you read this - I encourage you to print it out and bring it with you next raise discussion. Because wow, are you exceeding expectations.

Exceptional customer service. Everyone we have talked to, and asked for help or had questions was absolutely joyful and helpful!!! Dawn, we have remembered her name because we shopped for 4 weeks in and out of the store every week , sometimes twice a day!!! Her caring nature was noticed, her patience and knowledge, friendly personality always brought us smiles and confidence in our choices. A complete asset for the company!!!

Staff are very friendly. From the floor to the register they seem kind and truly available to help. Great assortment of products. International food and snacks. Plus lots of furniture and knick knacks. Found the same items nearby for less which was a bummer. Coming here is a fun experience though if you love to shop. I enjoy it here and there's a few good Italian foods.

Dawn went above and beyond. World Market is fortunate to have her as an employee. I hope she is working the next time I am there.

Fun shopping. Great variety. More likely to find an interesting gift here than at a department store.

Always love shopping at World Market as you can find so many interesting things there! Was able to find some stuff to finish up my Christmas shopping. There is a wide variety of items with lots of different options that would be hard to find somewhere else. Even though we went on the Sunday after Black Friday, staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing docking a star is that some of the aisles are tight to get through. I have to use a cane/crutch for mobility purposes and it was a tight fit trying to go through a couple aisles especially if I was trying to get to one side so someone else could walk by. It would have been even worse if I had been in my wheelchair as some aisles I would not have been able to go down as I doubt it would have fit. Other than that, the store is great and fun to shop through.

Brentwood's World Market was my preferred local World Market until a couple of days ago when a cashier implied I, after changing 3 settings and restarting my phone in front of her but failing to get World Market's site to generate a visible barcode instead of a white box, got so frustrated with me she could barely speak except to imply I wanted to use the reward multiple times... that is: steal from the company. A minute after she first considered getting her manager, she refused to do so when I requested it because the issue with using my $5 reward was MY phone's issue and there was nothing he would be able to do. Well, duh. But she said it like that. Do not talk to people like that. I asked again for the manager because while my phone has a problem, there is an issue on World Market's end too because World Market is doing stuff oddly on their app. I wanted more advice from someone who was perhaps more tech savvy. Then the manager came over and not only said he couldn't help, but told I needed to fix my phone because he'd override it, but he couldn't be doing it again and again because I could use it repeatedly. He said this unsmilingly and not vaguely. I said I was just trying to get help and I mentioned something about what the cashier implied, which was similar enough to what the manager had just said, and he didn't say much. Neither cashier nor manager thanked me for anything or told me to have a nice day or any of that. I think they were perhaps in a bad mood because an employee (the cashier??) broke like half a shelf of of sake or wine in the back of the store a few minutes before. I at NO point asked for a manual override or to get anything free. I thought maybe they could apply my reward directly from my account or the manager could tell me how to get guidance on the issue. Later I found out the issue was a Google setting across all my devices and it had to be fixed in my Google account. This would not be an issue if WM offered the coupon like any other company would: as a unique image with barcode that could be redeemed just once. The coupon barcode isn't an image file. Oh well. But my friend found a golden unicorn yesterday and then I hunted down a $100 unicorn at another store, so it wasn't too bad of a day at the markets of the world.Learn some customer service, folks, before you hurt your employer more than you did with the spilled alcohol.
