I visited a Russell Cellular Verizon Wireless Retail store today in the Promenade at Fair Lawn, NJ. I have been coming to this store for about 15 years. I had a problem with my phone and had a question for the expert. Before I could even finish my question Jeremy told me that he could not help me. Baffled, I left the store. I also left a review on google reviews for the local shop "poor customer service" as that was my experience. Fast forward a few hours and Jeremy, from the Verizon Wireless Store Fair Lawn Promenade, thought it was appropriate to retaliate against me by writing "poor customer service" on MY personal business page. Who does business like this? Accountability is essential and deflecting one's own accountability by slandering the client's personal business is disgraceful. Shame on you. Russell Cellular Bolivar Missouri authorized dealer for Verizon should screen their employees better! The so called manager was rude and hateful to a customer right in front of other customers and also had either a friend or husband sitting around the store while she worked she continued to converse with the non customer. She absolutely embarrassed this customer and as for myself I will not be back to this store nor any Verizon store!

The service agent are not trained. Therefore they just say call Verizon. Why are they there. Training would help this company not look so stupid. Verizon has the market. The customer is always wrong. Just keep paying the bill.

This outfit shouldn't be allowed to continue in business. Employees lie with a straight face. I didn't understand that there is a difference between a 'true" Verizon store and this independent abomination. Why Verizon puts up with this year after year is a mystery. I've been cheated before by the Alma, Michigan location, but thought that with this new staff I would be treated fairly. Quite the contrary. Now I'm missing a day of work to get things straightened out. And I'm 87 years old, so each day is important to me.

After 3 months in being told how great I was doing, all of sudden listened to every call to say you're not competent when I have had brain surgery and take longer to learn than others. They fired me, offering no other options in the company. Drugs are allowed in the workplace also.

Darla Moore at the Belleville store goes above and beyond every time I go in there. She multitasks expertly and so very friendly. She is an asset to this company.

Let me start by saying I worked here recently. As a DSM in the south carolina area. I want to say my regional manager John was a awesome manager as well as Anthony the VP but the owner is worthless he hasn't been to a store in SC ever ..he won't do any remodeling to any store. There Florence store is a disgrace. It's a shame he can spend 300k flying everyone to Springfield. But can't remodel a store he owns. What a terrible owner.

Very poor customer service. If you pay cash they never have change. Policies seem to change on monthly basis. Often go to one location and for one reason or another am unable to pay my bill and have to drive 15 miles to another location to pay. Better of going to the real Verizon store.

Worked at 6 locations over the span of 9 years would have worked here for years longer if I felt I was treated fair, respected, and paid fairly. Somehow as the years progressed I got paid less and less on commission changes and minimal raises even with hitting goals set, and working overtime without the overtime pay-the entirety of Covid while short staffed. There is absolutely no reason a manager shouldn’t be given raises, and the commission they earned consistently without explanation while performance called for it. Lucky to have pto approved, frequently told I was needed so it couldn’t be approved. My dad was on hospice dying- of course I had no idea how much time I would need but got calls from DSM still checking when I’d come back to work since I was the only one running the store 6 days a week. Perpetually short staffed, call outs due to burnout and managers have to be the one to work even more hours. I surely hope at some point they pay livable wages and pour into their employees so they can take better care of the customers.

Not sure if this is the same Russell Cellular that owns the Verizon in Olathe, KS off of K7, but holy smokes... It is rare to find them opened anymore... I went to them because the Verizon in Gardner, KS. wasn't treating us right. So, I went there and was assured I would be treated right... NOT SO FAR. They are closed. This week alone they have been closed... Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. How do you stay in business like that? How can you gain customer loyalty like that?

The Worst Cell Phone Shopping Experience EverCalled the Purcellville, VA store number. Cassandra answered. I told her I wanted to buy an iPhone tonite. Asked if she had the model and color I wanted. She said yes. Asked her to hold it for me. Said I'd be there in 15 minutes. "We don't really hold phones, but if you'll be here in 15 minutes, the phone isn't going anywhere."Got to the store--No Cassandra there. Nor was the phone she put me on hold to go and check on, there either. Beware: Casssandra is a bald-faced liar.At the store, Josh/John? (6pm-ish 12/5/22) tried to convince me to buy black or purple. I said I would think about it, and come back tomorrow, and maybe get him to order the color/model I wanted. Then, incomprehensively, the guy proceeds to start a conversation about VPNs, and why I needed one. Why in gods name he wanted to lecture me on pros and cons of using a VPN I dunno. And the bearded P#@$k wanted to argue about it. I was not interested in the conversation, the topic, etc. Just trying to leave the store.Russell would do well to fire that sanctimonious...guy. I will never go back to any Russell Cell. store anywhere again. Honest is the easiest thing there is to be in business. They are neither honest nor competent.

BEWARE OF RUSSELL CELLULAR VERIZON! They are the ONLY Verizon store that charges $35.00'setupfor success' fee per phone, to transfer your data to the new phones you just purchased from them. Any other Verizon store does not charge to setup and transfer your info. If I had known, I would have done my business with another Verizon store. Russell cellular does not tell you about this fee until they ask you to pay. BEWARE!
