Would not recommend the online bill pay option for this company. Even though stating I can submit proof through a bank statement a payment was made they will come out and just shut your water off without any notice, unless I suppose it's to someone that works for the water company because then they'd understand you should try and contact someone if there is an issue that's present before shutting off something like that to a home. Welcome to Barnhart.

Twice my water has been turned off without notice. This is ridiculous, I have automatic payments set up so this doesn't happen and yet it still does. Unfortunately, you have no choice in who provides this service.

These are the worst Google reviews I have ever seen for a business. This Company must really be bad. Terrible they don't care but you have no choice to go anywhere else. Guess that's why they don't care. Sad.

Horrible service. They will shut your water off without notice. They won't even notify you that they shut it off! You just have to try to figure out why your water is off. My bill was 4 days late and they shut it off. They don't let you know anything is past due either. Then they charge you $50 to turn it back on. What a scam. This should be illegal. They should have to clearly give notice that they are about to shut your water off. Life is crazy, things get forgotten. I owed less than $100. This is absolutely insane.

I'm just going to get right to it, your triple charging our 300+ home neighborhood. DNR is being contacted, and your water is terrible. For the price we pay,if the water was decent I wouldn't complain. But being that we lost a water heater in less than 2yrs,and absolutely had to install a filter and softener system so we didn't loose the rest of our appliances and faucets. Your middle man mentality at the office is going to get you investigated from head to toe . Good luck keeping your jobs.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Lynn and Heather have the worst customer service ever. I wish we had another option for water service. How Lynn still has a job is shocking. She literally laughs at you and talks to you like you are beneath her. Horrible

I've been a continuous customer of C-1 Water District for 31 years. I've never encountered a single problem with service or billing. After reading some negative reviews, and comparing their experience with my own, I have to wonder where the blame should be placed? I'll just say that if you pay your bill on time every month, you'll never have a problem. For the customer who stated that she couldn't get her water turned on because the water company closes before she can get there after work to pay, there's a night drop box outside the closed gate, on the fence. Include your account info with your check in an envelope. They will get it when they open in the morning. It's really quite simple. My bill is always on time, but I'm too cheap to pay for postage, so I use the night drop. ??

I just called in due to thinking I made a double payment or they didnt receive my last months payment. The people here were GREATLY helpful and even waived my late fee on the last month due to MY confusion, not theirs. I have to say that every time I have called in I have been ready for a battle due to the current google reviews but my experience has been the opposite. The folks here have been extremely helpful and understanding. THANK YOU

Seems Lynn has been giving poor customer service for years. The front office required a $90 deposit to set up our account, I told them I would have the amount sent from our bank, they said that would be fine. After they received the payment, the office called to say they would not accept that $90 as our deposit, we would still need to bring them a check, money order or cash for the deposit. No offer to return the $90, or issue a refund. I just spoke with Lynn, to say she was rude and condescending would be generous. She claims that her office would not have agreed to a deposit sent by our bank, and that I did not follow directions on how to send the deposit. We can request a refund, they only issue checks once a month. Truly wish we had another option for water service!

The “District Manager” Lynn is not very kind to deal with and claims she doesn’t have anyone above her that you can work with. No supervisor or boss, Lynn is as high as it gets when you need help and attention with your concerns. The office members don’t actually listen to your concerns and issues as you have them. They make up their own rules and policies. We have gone round and round with these people. Unprofessional office and the current google reviews make perfect sense. I was made aware of a board meeting where we can take our complaints. Not sure what good it will do honestly as they just threaten to put out your own personal information. Very rude and professional dealings. I only wish i had a choice in water companies but unfortunately I do not.

Terrible customer service. They dont contact you if anything is wrong. When I moved in they turned my water off bc they claimed the title company didnt pay the lien they bought from the prior owners (they did we all had the proof ), but were they coming out to fix THIER mistake that day? Nope. Then somehow in fixing it they "turned on paperless" and I never got Bill's. Did anyone call and say I was late or owed money? Nope just turned off the water without any notice or speaking to me. I got home from work to find no water. I paid them , which of course is the 3rd number you call in the line up of figuring out what happened, and oh look it there it will take a day to turn it back on. The woman at the desk has no manners or any "customer service tone", terrible attitude. I wish I had other options for water , I would pay higher rates to avoid using this disorganized company

Lynn Edwards is terrible!I had sent an ACH forms and a voided check and expected my bill to be automatically withdrawn from my checking account but they already put it in the shut off list and their policy is that once it’s in the shut off list they can’t use an ACH withdrawal which would been fine had somebody notified me of that. So they shut my water off and charge me a $50 fee. Lynn Edwards the district manager is on a total power trip. They’re supposed to be a nonprofit organization, terrible terrible customer service!

If I could give them zero stars I would. The front desk older lady is a very rude person. They never will work with you on your bill after they charge you a 50 dollar fee for a shut off that hadn't even happened yet.
