I bought this truck realizing that is was a project. The Guys at Sellenriek helped me analyze priorities and get it certified so I could license and drive it. Their team took on the task of replacing the worn out transmission with one I had built by a specialty shop and delivered to them. No problem and once installed drove and their finished work even looked like new.The owner Rich works the shop and takes interest in every vehicle that comes in the door.Ask questions and they will find you the answers. This shop quotes labor times arbitrarily. They do not abide by the standardized labor times written in Alldata and Mitchell guides. They also seem to take on jobs that intimidate them. They referred to an 8.2 hour timing job as a "2 day job". Said they "might have to take the engine out". Edit: forgot to mention labor was quoted at ~15 hours (never got a straight answer) for that 8.2 hour job.The car also sat in the parking lot for 4 days, before it got a shotgun diagnostic. They quoted us at $4500, for the timing chain kit and threw in a couple 'just in case' camshaft phasers on top of the timing chain kit. When I asked if the phasers were suggested or required, I was told 'suggested' kind of sheepishly, before recanting and saying that was a good question they would have to check on. Also told my mom, "her fucking son doesn't even know what camshaft phasers are" when she went to pick the car up. End of day they waived the diagnostic fee and we left with the car. I'm not familiar with Missouri law, but the way they quote is questionable, if not flat out illegal. At the end of the day, if you don't have the tools or competence to do the job, don't do it!

Without a doubt one of the best Automotive shops in St Louis County. Sellenriek is Knowledgeable, fair and distinctly Old School and that’s a good thing! In this day and age of chain store/tire store/ muffler store posers, who claim to “do it all@, Sellenriek will honestly tell you what they can do and can’t do!Go here first if your car is older, if you want to keep it rather that replace it, or if some other shop gave you the run around. Tell ‘em James says Hi!

Staff does not know how to communicate with customers. And are not knowledgeable on what a tune up entails, service personnel quoted me $500.00 just to replace the sparplugs. I asked him if they would put the car on a diagnostic machine, and he replied” For what” Ineptitude at its highest.
