Everyone was so friendly and welcoming! Dr Victoria was so patient and gentle with Sam! We felt very happy with the level of attention and care we received today. Bright, clean office!

They won my business about a year-and-a-half ago when I had a new kitten with some severe problems and called over the weekend. I expected them to call me back on Monday but instead they called on Sunday and gave me some help until we could be seen on Monday. However, since then I have spent exorbitant amount of money with them (4 animals) and they have not been very forthright with estimates. The rough estimates they are allowed to give have typically been lower than the actual cost once I was in the office.I recently messaged them for a new estimate and again they gave me a rough estimate. I asked for it to be itemized and the doctor responded that they would not do that because they didn't want bad publicity. I then asked them to forward my records to a different vet's office. Since they did not confirm they had done so, I went to respond to the message and asked if they had sent them. I found that my account had been deactivated. This is very unprofessional and quite petty. If I had decided I didn't like the new vet and wanted to go back they could have still possibly earned my business. Now there is no chance.

If I could give 10 stars I would! We just moved here from Las Vegas and it has been a trying time to say the least with our two Cocker Spaniels. The day we closed on our home our female Cocker Molly had a nasty fall resulting in a broken leg. We hadn't been in town long enough to even know if we were headed in the right direction to Heartland as we were speeding through town. Molly's injury was so severe that it required amputation. Being a Friday afternoon there were many logistical issues and the folks at Heartland set up all procedures with another local vet so Molly could be treated immediately. Everything was explained and they were more than patient with us as we were completely freaking out. All procedures and follow ups went exactly as was explained and a terrible experience was lessened, even if just a little bit, by help they provided us.Fast forward a month and it was our male Cocker Danny. He was acting really sick so we brought him in to find he had Pancreatitis. This poor boy was as sick as could be and again the folks at Heartland were there to help us through everything and patient with us as we began to treat and nurse him back to health. These two pups are our babies so we were constantly calling for advice and concerns. Most calls answered by Alexis who was always patient and honest with us; she was so great! Molly and Danny are both on the mend but this whole thing took a toll on all of us; having the folks at Heartland close by helped more than I could ever express. Thank you is all I can say. And an extra special thank you to Alexis for her patience and willingness to just listen to us. We love them.

This vet was great because it was located in Ashland where I live. The Vet techs and Veterinarians were wonderful. Very thorough and kind. However I've since changed vets. I called prior to my dogs visit requesting at least a rough $$ estimate for services so I can be prepared and have money set aside, and Alexis (receptionist?) was very rude. Stated she couldn't give me an estimate and that she could let me speak to a tech "but they probably can't give you and estimate either". I understand certain employees may not know the requested information of the top of their heads but a simple " I'm unsure, but let me find someone who can better assist you" would have gone a long way. Her tone and attitude were very unnecessary and caught me off gaurd. It wasn't what she said it's how she said it. A tech did call me back and she was wonderful and provided me with the estimate but Alexis' attitude was more than enough for me. I don't need people being rude when I'm asking for simple billing transparency. I'll make the drive to Columbia from now on if it means I don't have to deal with a rude receptionist.

My cat cannot handle traveling far when going to the vet, so when we moved from Columbia to Ashland I knew we would have to find a local vet. I read the reviews for Heartland and so many fur parents just said how well they are and care about fur babies.Well let me tell you that is 1000% true! Felix was given the best care and the updates were consistent, everyone there is so friendly if you want your cat to be really taken care of Dr. St.Clair and Bailey are amazing at figuring things out to make sure everything is okay or how to look into seeing the bigger picture that your fur baby can’t tell you.Customer service is a 10 all around! So happy! Highly recommend!

*UPDATE*Just received an email from the owner stating I never spoke about the rough treatment; yet, it has been several times where I have talk to a Heather about my concerns and still haven't received any communication back from anyone. Also, still have not received my item back from the last time she stayed. And I just had to look the other way when I picked her up from her last grooming appointment for a trim and nails... She came back to me shaved!!. BUT that's what I get for keep trying to reach out and now I'm the problem?! Okay, not cool!!. I will be looking out for my refund!Don't take your fur babies here.... This place is for outside animals. Just too rough for my liking and I'm not too pick, but hell. I want her to be well care for. No thank you.

We love Heartland! They saved my pup’s life. No one thought she’d make it, but after a long surgery…she pulled through. The staff at Heartland have always been kind and explain everything very well. I’ve used them for dog boarding as well and they did a great job at an affordable price! I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a good vet in Ashland.

Got a call today, March 19th that my April 6th nail trim appt had been cancelled because previous vet records had not been received. 19 days before the appt, they cancelled it. Went to office and vet P. Cuddihee was very curt and unaccommodating. The appt was for a 16 year old dog who belongs to a nursing home resident that lives 5 min away. It would have been nice for his care to be so close. This is the third, (3/3) bad experience I have had with this clinic over the years. I thought I would let bygones be bygones and try them again but the behavior that was offputting years ago still continues. Please use a different veterinarian.

The facility looks like something from a third world country, perhaps worse. We paid nearly $600 to have our dogs boarded and complete their required testing/exams to get a call several days later recommending behavior mediation for one of our dogs (the nice one). They said they had the dogs mixed up and it was recommended for our dog that we disclosed prior to boarding could be a bit difficult to handle and was a foster fail years ago. We were very insulted by the passive aggressive way this was handled and fact they made sure to get their money and then try to sell us on behavior modification training for the wrong dog. I would strongly encourage you to research other options.
