This has been a nice place for a relative of mine. I just wonder how these guys/girls are going to find work with no vehicle or transportation to a job? That is what is stopping some from getting on their feet. Now, there is a $10 a day fee and if you can’t pay, you will be put back on the streets. I just wonder if there is a factory somewhere that would employ these guys/girls so maybe they could get a bus/van to transport to and from work. They could charge an amount for gas from the workers each week. I’m just throwing ideas out there.

Watched kitchen staff stealing food , they were rascist toward white people. The guy that ran the office after 4pm , I think his name was Andrew , I could be wrong on that, huge black man , was the rudest most smart mouthed person I have ever met. Would be nice sometimes then turn around and be everything but that. Security was cool. A guy named George , older gentleman, very nice and down to earth man. This was the summer of 2003. I heard they are under new management now

A loving caring place that's made for helping people get back on their feet. An yes they make you go out and search for jobs and a place of your own. But have really nice security and owner. Some employees don't understand their jobs so they must be reported if you are treated wrong. The owner build it for help and support for all of God's children of the world. Without the discrimination that some employers have given off.

I cannot in words describe this place. The facade looks good to the public that pays no attention to the deeper issues at plat with this place. The corruption and underhandedness of this group of people that are besmirching a name of a great organization that was set up to do more than what is happening under the surface. Lies and deceit run rampant through the workers employed to help the local homeless population while they pad their own pockets with donated items and food ment for the purpose it was donated. Food is served that in good conscience shouldn't be feed to animals. Food that is good is taken hime by employees and expired food is serves. Donated cooked food is recooked resulting in inedible food instead of reheating and serving. The help homeless receive at this location only comes from good people and church's who deliver and distribute the food and supplies themselves. If you want to donate hand it out yourself, if you don't it will go to the staff first. Rules are set in place for the homeless to stay in the shelter and are bent by the guards working within. The guards are not majors. They are a 3rd party company and run by a whole family. Some inhabitants of the shelter have been staying in it for over 6 months when the rules state 90 days. The cold shelter that is open to all is run smoother than the permanent shelter. But the cold shelter opens at 8pm and is only open if it is under 36 degrees. Just so the population knows... 48 degrees is still too cold to be out all night. 36 degrees is asking for homeless to be swallowed by freezing to death. The city would do better to have a permanent patrolled campsite for homeless with bathrooms and showers and fire pits. Keep homeless in one space and patrol it.

I love this place because they help people in our community that need a helping hand getting restarted in life. Each person has a different story and are in need of someone who cares. I hope each of you can help with a donation of anything from time or a few dollars. Praying and love can change lives.
