Another Bucket List item accomplished! Friendly staff and they were very happy to talk to us about Elvis, with absolutely all the time in the world for us, with no pressure to make a purchase. Well worth a visit if you are in Tupelo.

We had an amazing visit. Mr. Floyd was so welcoming and informative. He spend several minutes telling us Elvis stories and showing us where Elvis stood when his mother bought him his first guitar. We took advantage of the opportunity to purchase my son his first guitar too.

What an amazing hardware store and the history was so wonderful to see and hear about and we stood on the spot where Elvis got his first guitar. So fun to stop and browse and see it all!

A must visit stop if you are visiting Tupelo. Such a historic building and if Mr. Wayne is working, he'll be sure to tell you some great stories!

As soon as you walk in you can tell that this is not part of a chain of stores that just wants to get you in and out as fast as possible. And I mean that in a really good way. It's more like taking a step back, to when I was a kid going to the hardware store with my Dad. I love the old feel about this store. From the wood floor on up. They have a good selection, and everyone is friendly and eager to help. I will definitely shop here again.

Mr. Floyd was awesome! He told us some stories about Elvis and the store, so glad this place is still in business, and happy that fans from all over the world come to visit. Elvis fans ROCK! We just bought our daughter's first guitar here, just like Elvis! (Definitely more than $7 though, haha!) She asked for one a year ago and I asked her to wait, knowing exactly where to buy one for her too, heehee, totally worth it and the wait too. Thank you, Tupelo Hardware Store!

Cool original hardware store still owned by the original family. Many of the original store fixtures and original tin ceiling are still here. This hardware store is where Elvis Presley and his mother purchased his first guitar on January 8th, 1946 when he was 11. They have a very informative employee who is very knowledgeable on the history of the store and its connection to Elvis Presley. Still a functioning hardware store and well worth a visit.

Great store, but the best part is the people. He overheard me say my son loves Elvis and took 15 minutes telling my son stories and showing him stuff. Best part of the afternoon for my Elvis lover, not to mention the store is organized and clean and well-stocked. Thank you!

As an Elvis fan we stopped in not expecting what we left with. Wish I would have caught the gentleman's name. He saw me taking photos and could easily see o was there to see the spot Elvis got his guitar. This nice man shared his knowledge and history of Elvis and the store. So glad we got to talk to him. The way he told the story it was easy to put yourself as an observer of that day Elvis left with his guitar.

Historical and my local hardware store. No wonder it's The Elvis tourist spot. All kinds of reasonable prices on their stuff. Elvis and hardware.
