Being prior military and law enforcement, I am very accustomed to training programs. I was very impressed with the Safety Department and the building block style of training. They started out basic and added a bit more each day. It was engaging and challenging. It's a workout for sure. Just a hint, orientation and training is all an interview process. Stay busy, learn, and improve yourself everyday. Everyone that put in the effort was helped all the way through. I really appreciate how much care they put into the training and the safety they require to protect, first and most importantly, the driver, but also the cargo and the company.

My Driver Mentor was attentive. He trained me well and evaluated me fairly. I'm very thankful for his patience as it gets very overwhelming when you are putting it all together at first. The driving part is the easiest if you pay attention and apply the SMITH system. Putting in the physical work of securement, tarping and untarping, is VERY demanding and a great workout. Being a flatbed truck driver and all that entails is not for everyone, but if you have the drive, it's rewarding.

I'm gaining experience and I am provided with everything I need to make a good living while still being home every Friday to spend time with my family each weekend. The equipment is very well maintained and they have been adding new trucks and trailers continually.

AND! The other drivers are a wealth of knowledge. Everyone from the multi-million mile drivers, the Driver Mentors, or the friends you made during training all have tips, tricks, and information about our shippers and receivers. That information comes in handy when we are going someplace new, so keep in touch with them.”
