“They helped me get the best price possible shipping some expensive insured items. I didn't feel rushed to fill out shipping labels and all my questions got answered thoroughly. Thanks for your help.”

“Greetings! My Great Aunt , Viola Fultz lived there in Fruitdale decades ago. My parents and I were there in 1964. A very nice lady, Gertrude Williams, worked at that Post Office. She let us stay at her place. I remember a small cafe there that we ate at.”

“This is a great United States Post Office! (Amazing history) The new staff is extremely friendly, I only wish they had more help. The current PO clerk/Post Master (If that is the correct terminology, I'm not sure) should get a pay raise. Packages often arrive early and are quickly scanned. I recommend using USPS's website to get email or text updates for when your packages have been delivered. Email is quite fast and you know your package is available. (It works great for me) It's very rare a package is delayed and it's very rare it's due to this Post Office. All packages are scanned in by 10am. That's not bad considering the amount of mail they get. I do plan on getting a large PO box, the small ones can damage items that are delicate if over stuffed. Often junk mail is what causes a stuffed small PO Box. But, this is not a complaint, just an upgrade I think is worth it. Hopefully some are still available. The problem is really due to companies not boxing or protecting products during shipping. When I ship small items I use cut strips of cardboard for small packages, this prevents damage in almost all cases. If it's a valuable item you are shipping I'd suggest insuring it and protecting the item with lots of small bubble wrap. (Crushed newspaper also works pretty well in a pinch) The PO has a "Retro" feel to it that hold trues to the classic "Southern Experience".”
