Had to run in to get my husband some medicine because he got sick late in the evening. I got there before their closing time. Right about 9:50 pm. The doors were closed and locked. The 2 women inside said they close the doors at 9:45 pm, because they personally leave at 10 pm. A member in my family also works at a DG and they don't lock the doors until 10 pm as that is the store hours and they go home at 10:30. The 2 women had attitudes as if we were bothering them and they had no understanding.
I do think the store is typically stocked better than most I have been in. But the staff have been disrespectful, have attitudes, only seem to care about themselves, are not very helpful and when asking for help - it's like you are putting them out. Sorry, but I have been going here for a long time now. The employees are the only part that makes me want to turn away. Tonight we had to take our money somewhere else.

Came in this morning (6/7/2023) at around 7:30am to buy some milk. When I first walked into the store, I could see a few employees in the corner of the store. I retrieved the milk and brought it to the counter to pay for it with not a worker in sight. I wanted for a few minutes, still... Nobody. I walked to the other side of the store to try and find and employee, not a soul. I finally gave up and returned the milk to the refrigerator and left the store. Keep in mind this is all well after opening at 7:00.They must have ran away and hid when they saw me come in. I just don't understand it.

I would give negative this the most racist store in Mississippi they hate white people and they let it show this store should be closed down always a nasty attitude towards white people I'm tired of this treatment

Quita was checking out guest when we came In. Following that she followed us around the store but shes the employee. I own a business. Run the cameras and see what I drive compared to her. Nothing you really see from around here. So we get to the counter an older lady was at the register checking out a black lady and quita told the older cashier to take your time. Quita went to another register and skipped us and started checking out black people. That's discrimination and just because shes black doesn't make it not. 03/21/23 8:02. Just documenting. I will need to refer to this.

Great gas prices, however the gas pumps are nasty. Maintenance needs to clean the pump and the surrounding area.

Keep your online hours updated with your actual store hours. It says Dollar General closes at 22:00 on Tuesday but I arrived at 20:15 and the store is closed. I called the store and no answer. This is the only real store in Sardis. The least you can do is update the public.

Can be messy and pricey because it's the only store in the neighbor to buy items as they sale.
