“Very clean and roomy bathrooms! As a traveler, restrooms mean a lot..especially when you have to do number two. My trips are planned to only stop at Buc-ee’s for obvious reasons but sometimes nature just calls. And the bathrooms here are well maintained and the cleanliness is kept up, stocked with toilet paper and soap. (Photos taken during time when no one else was in restroom for privacy concerns)”

“The dudes who work here are actually pretty cool. Once I did have some problems with the two guys who work there making me repeat myself every time I asked for some cigarettes and/or an item behind the counter. Anyway, they don't do this anymore I guess because I spend so much money with them and could see that saying "huh?" Everytime I requested an item was passing me off.”

“Great chicken. Reasonable prices. Would be five stars if they could get my order right more than once in a blue moon and if they didn't keep the place freezing cold.”

“Embarking on a journey to the local Exxon is like stepping into a world where the ordinary becomes extraordinary. The vibrant hues of the candy aisle shimmer with a peculiar intensity, and the air is thick with the scent of adventure—and gasoline.

As I traverse the linoleum landscape, the cool hum of refrigerators becomes a symphony, each beverage a bottled symphony of refreshment. The attendants, guardians of this oasis, move with an otherworldly grace, their smiles both welcoming and enigmatic.

The fuel pumps stand like monoliths outside, their numbers ticking upwards with a rhythm that feels like the heartbeat of the earth itself. The nozzle fits into my car's tank with a satisfying click, a union of machine and energy source that feels almost ceremonial.

In this place, the mundane act of refueling becomes a moment of connection—a brief dance with the mechanical muses that power our journeys. And as I drive away, the essence of Exxon lingers, a reminder that even the most routine errands can be touched with a hint of the sublime.

Four stars for Exxon, where every visit is a small odyssey, a slice of the everyday that hints at something more. ?”

“Once upon a midnight dreary, as I pondered, weak and weary,
Over an ancient Exxon station, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some customer there asking for gas and oil, rapping,
"Prophet," said I, "Prophet - tell me, I implore!"

'Tis the Exxon, I remember, and its logo, ever ember,
While from my car, now dying and worn, I lamented, mourning, sighing,
Doubting, turning to this prophet, for a solution burning, yearning;
That it is Exxon, angel sent, to save me from this plight unending,
"Prophet," said I, "Prophet - tell me what I need, I implore!"

And the Exxon prophet spoke, with wisdom and knowledge profound,
Of the fuels superior, and the engine care renowned,
"Noble driver, on this night, fear not, for Exxon has the might,
We have the fuel you desire, and the care your car requires,
In our pumps, you'll find the power to journey far and wide,
And our mechanics, skilled and true, will keep your car refreshed anew."

Then, with haste, I entered the station, my heart with hope elation,
For I knew, without a doubt, Exxon would deliver from this slough,
And soon, with fuel and care, my car was ready, strong and fair,
Exxon, oh Exxon, how wonderful you are, a beacon shining bright,
From this day forward, I shall sing your praises, near and far.”

“Lower than the gas station next door but a little higher than Clarks across the street that won't let you you pay at the pump. The cashier at that Exxon/Clark's told me to pay cash or pre pay but i wanted to fill up and was not sure how much to tell her to charge my card. She Wasn't very nice either... Shell was well worth the extra couple of cents for diesel. Plus they were nice, had more snacks and drinks to choose from, and the bathroom was clean. I will stop here from now on.”

“This is one of my fave gas stations in laurel. A few of the employees and manager are extremely nice and very helpful. There are a couple employee's aren't very nice but I guess that's just about any store you go to nowadays. Very clean, decent prices and the deli is really yummy but kinda high for a gas station food tho.”

“In the quaint town of Laurel, where the whispers of the past linger like the sweet scent of magnolias, there stood a humble establishment, a beacon for weary travelers and locals alike. It was not just a place; it was a sanctuary where the mundane transformed into the extraordinary, a nexus of stories untold.

On a particularly sweltering Mississippi afternoon, John, a man whose life was as crumpled as the dollar bills in his wallet, stumbled upon this oasis. The air was thick with humidity, and the sun bore down like an unforgiving judge. John's throat was parched, his body weary from the road less traveled, and his heart heavy with secrets.

The bell above the door chimed his arrival, a sound that seemed to pierce the veil between two worlds. Inside, the air was cool, a welcome reprieve from the oppressive heat. Shelves lined with necessities and curiosities whispered promises of relief and distraction. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee battled the lingering scent of gasoline and tobacco, an olfactory symphony characteristic of such a locale.

Behind the counter stood a figure, as much a part of the place as the aged wood and the faded signs. With a nod and a knowing smile, the attendant offered John a nod, an unspoken acknowledgment of the road's toll.

John meandered through the aisles, each step a chapter in this short respite from his journey. He picked up a bottle of water, the condensation a testament to its promise of refreshment. A pack of watermelon seeds caught his eye, a simple pleasure that harkened back to simpler times.

At the checkout, the exchange was brief, but the impact was lasting. The attendant's eyes held stories, a depth that suggested a life lived in the quiet moments between the comings and goings of strangers.

As John left, the bell chimed once more, a soft farewell. The establishment, unnamed but not unappreciated, remained a steady character in the lives of those it served. It was a place of four stars, not for its grandeur or its offerings, but for its steadfast presence, a silent witness to the tales of the road.

And so, our story concludes, not with a name, but with the essence of what makes such a place a treasure in the heart of Mississippi. It is a story that continues with each visitor, each transaction, a story that, like the best of Stephen King's tales, lingers long after the last page is turned.”

“Listen, I’ve been to a lot of gas stations, but this Exxon with a Huddle House inside? It’s like finding a hidden gem in the wild. You pull up, expecting the usual fill-up, and bam – there’s a Huddle House greeting you with that warm smile and hot coffee.

The service? It’s a mixed bag, like a UFC fight card. Sometimes you get the attentive, friendly server who’s all about helping you out, and other times, it’s like they’ve stepped into the octagon with zero training – uninterested and just there for the paycheck. But hey, that’s life, right?

Now, the food – it’s like a solid right hook, good and hits the spot. Breakfast is the champion here, with portions that’ll make you feel like you’re gearing up for five rounds in the cage. And the taste? Delicious, man. It’s like that knockout punch – when it’s good, it’s great.

So, I’m giving this place 4 stars. It’s not perfect, but it’s got character, and that Huddle House? It’s the kind of spot you’d want to refuel at after a long journey or a night of DMT talks. It’s all about the experience, and this place delivers more than just gas.”

“Murphy Express sets the gasoline prices in Laurel and in particular all of the gas stations on 16th Avenue and Hwy 15 North. Across the street from Walmart, Murphy keeps the other brand name stations in line by charging fair prices. For example last week while visiting, Murphy lowered their regular prices by 10 cents and most of the other stations had to follow suit. I have seen this happen many times. This station has about 8 or 9 pumps and usually stays very busy. For consistently having the cheapest gasoline in Laurel, I have to say I am a fan!”
