There were 2 liquor stores I could make it to on time after getting out of work late. unfortunately I chose this one that was closed at 9:50 when when I got there and didn’t have time to make it to the other one so no rum cake for the birthday boy. I’m sure he’ll understand that the liquor store clerk didn’t feel like doing his job.

My first review is below. I've updated this because I like the store and I'm hoping the owner/manager will see it and take some corrective action.While the selection is still good (for Mississippi), the staff has gone downhill. The one guy I see every visit acts like he just doesn't care, as if customers are an inconvenience. He has no conversational or sales skills and because of his attitude, I often shop elsewhere now. The only thing he said to my wife and me was the total of the sale and "do you want a receipt?" No one offers to lug a case to my car, no one says thank you, no one makes any recommendations, just "no, we don't have that".Buying wine should be a pleasant experience. This particular employee is driving people - like me - away.Previous review: "Great wine store. Excellent selection. Knowledgeable staff."

I have been a customer for several years and do find their “discounts” on some wines good. However, on a recent experience, I asked for some help in selecting a wine from a specific region and got NO help. In fact, he seem annoyed that I would ask him to help me. I went to Briarwood and got help and recommendations for two great wines. I will use them in the future.

He doesn’t want you to be able to buy wine and ship it to your home, and he doesn’t want you to buy it from your local grocer. Why? Because he only cares about protecting his business from competition.

The owner is greedy and corrupt. He wants to prevent any competition by limiting how Mississippians can purchase wine. I will not shop here again and would recommend you find a different supplier.
