“This store has been through so many different generations.. This last visit was a good one. I planned on running to the store and grabbing a bag of ice. Which I still didn't leave with. I ran in to about 2 relatives, 3 friends, and then 2 people I faintly remembered, and one I wish I could forget. The store is small but still has that same appeal on me as it did when I was very young. People just hanging out on the corner, not like here in Chicago, but people who stand and drink coffee in the morning. People who hold the door for you to go in and people who do nothing but come to bless you with a smile and a greeting. Some things we miss when you move to a large city from a small town. The prices are still very competitive and the offer a smaller variety than a couple of the other stores but they make up for that in customer service... Kudos! I would totally recommend.”

“I work in the general area and have found that this is a great place to go for good food at a very reasonable price for lunch. Favorite is the Works Salad! I eat large portions and this filled me up and under $10.They suggest you call and make a phone order in advance so you can get there and take it to go or sit down and eat vs having to wait.Very polite staff and very helpful when you have a need.Recommend this place to everyone I know!Awesome establishment.”
