Went to our local landmark store today, Williams Brothers Grocery store.I have fond memories of going here with my grand parents, getting chocolate drops, selling peaches. Of course their ties to the Manning boys makes them a different kind of famous but I still always remember the meat slicer, cutting up the bacon, and the busy bustle of the employees as the went about serving the customers. A lovely place.

I love visiting Williams Brothers. I love watching the guys slice up the bacon. They told me on a slow week they slice 1500/1800 lbs and around Christmas it reaches up to 2800 lbs. Neat store with lots of history.

Each and every time we touch down in Mississippi you can best believe we’re stopping here. This place has been a stomping ground for our family way back in the early nineties. My Grandma use to shop here ?? that’s how long it’s been here. We always purchase bacon ? sausage and cheese to take back home to Los Angeles.

So much to see, Prices are reasonable and the people who work there are super nice. Real country bacon that is sliced in front of you. Good old fashioned blocks of cheese.
